We just can't say enough about Kevin and his crew. Long, (very long), story, but two years ago, my wife and I moved our family into an old, mid 1860's farmhouse. We always wanted to renovate an old home, marrying both modern design, while keeping/updating original. We moved with our two adult children, and two dogs into the home that needed much love and care. The house had such positve energy, and sits on a beautiful piece of property across from farmland. Our mistake was that we put trust in builders who were friends of ours and it went very sour, very quickly and we lost quite a bit of money in the process. During this, covid hit, and my wife was diagnosed with cancer (thank God, is now 100% gone)... but dealing with that, plus the awful experience of trying to turn this house into a home, entrusting our builder friends was absolutely horrible and exhausing, with constant arguments with them when we were simply trying to get the work finished. They would never show, barely supervised the subs, yet they promised they would always be here. The last straw fell and I fired them on the spot, knowing that it would be extremely challenging to find another contractor who was reputable, willing to pick up where others miserably failed. We wound up hiring a guy to do some smaller jobs around, and that turned out to work well as he moved into some larger jobs, but I still needed a reputable GC to take this to finish. That's where Kevin Fleming and crew comes in. The moment I reached out to Kevin, explaining what happened and how we were left in a massive bind, he was more than willing to check out the job, and it was nothing but excellence from there on out! He and his folks, Sean, Bryan, Mark, Scott, etc all came in and got work done, all top notch (some very challenging due to how our previous contractors left things), but they did it, and they were all awesome to work with. Whenever I had questions and sent an email to Kevin, I would always have answers/guidance first thing in the morning, which is very important to me to be in the know. Our prior guys would never respond to emails, ever. That should have been "sign #1" to fire them. Working with Kevin and crew, we all got to know each other and it was a fun experience with many laughs. Kevin managed the whole process, brought great suggestions, and is clearly not a person out to pull the wool over anyone's eyes. Our home is now a "home" (a few things still to be done, i.e painting, fireplace), but we worked as a team and knocked it out of the park. We constantly have folks stopping by to say what a beautiful job. We blended the old with the new, turning what was a sad home into one of joy and pride. We can't thank Kevin and crew enough for getting us to the finish line, and then some!
Thank you!
Scott, Lisa and Family
