Chi siamo

SPECIALISED IN RENOVATION AND FURNISHING PERIOD HOMES. Figgoscope is an emerging bespoke Melbourne-based interior design and architecture studio that celebrates elegant, simple, comfortable and durable designs. We specialise in renovating, extending and converting period homes and other old structures with a unique sensibility and respect for the historical and existing features. We aim with our designs to enhance the inherent character of the architecture and location, imperceptibly blending a more modern and practical vision with the original historical context. From site management to delivering first sketches of room layouts including joinery/cabinetry design, product selections and final styling touches, we work in consistent consultation with the client to create dynamic and bold spaces which are tactile and intimate. We work closely with local artists, designers and industrial designers for unique, bespoke product development. Each project is the result of fresh and exciting ideas developed in consultation with our clients. With a refined palette of natural materials and textures we aim to create timeless, well crafted architecture and interiors that become a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of 21st-century modern life. Your home as a place for relaxation that emulates simple and warm elegance! INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE Marta Figueiredo is a highly accomplished architect and interior designer with over 10 years of post-graduate experience divided between Porto, London and Paris. Her career began in Paris assisting Jakob and Macfarlane Sarl d'Architecture in Paris, who had an impressive list of luxury brands as clients ( Printemps Lafayette, Collette and Costes Hotel). Working in London from 2007 to 2013, she specialised in high-end residential designs. She registered on the Architecture Registration Board in the UK and during this time she collaborated as project architect with small boutique practices on the design of period home renovations/extensions and new homes for clients such as the Executive Creative Director of Saatchi & Saatchi. Marta designs are informed by traditional European architecture and design that emulate symmetry, strength and timelessness. Her work is very much influenced by Scandinavian design for it's serene art of capturing light, Belgian and French interiors for it's classic elegance and the Mediterranean for it's relaxed materials and natural textures.
