Elle Interiors

This is our second time working with Elle Interiors and our first experience working with Travis as designer. We enlisted Travis initially for interior design work only on 3 rooms in our house, but during the initial consultation we learned that Elle also does exterior design work, too, which is something that we’d been needing to look into for a while since we had not updated the exterior since we bought the house nine years ago. Travis took the exterior from looking really shabby to very chic. His creativity is amazing. He listened to what we felt needed to be updated and came back with a plan and specific ideas and options from which we could choose. One of the great things about Elle Interiors is that they coordinate bringing in all of the vendors and construction tradesmen so you don’t have to go looking for them on your own. We were very happy with the talent brought in and in particular we really appreciated working with Jeff who did the majority of construction work. We originally thought he was going to be installing siding material for the feature wall and gable ends, but he actually built these items from scratch. Since our house is older, sometimes unexpected issues were found, but Jeff always found a solution, and Travis was always upfront about providing cost estimates for us to review and approve when these types of items came up. During construction and afterwards, many of our neighbors stopped by wanting to know who we’d worked with so that is certainly a testament to how fabulous a job that was done. When it comes time for our next project, we’d most definitely look to Elle Interiors again.

Elle Interiors did a fantastic job crafting our small backyard into a personal luxury retreat! We feel like we are enjoying a private resort garden every time we go outside. I had ideas of what I wanted but no idea how to make it happen. Elle drew up the design, explained the process clearly, selected the various professional tradespeople needed and made it happen. She also addressed the inevitable hiccups quickly and responded to all my questions or concerns as the project progressed. I highly recommend Elle Interiors to make your ideas a living reality!

We had Elle Interiors fix up our backyard. The interaction was very professional. The space was measured and a custom made booklet was provided with the plan. The cost was transparent and reasonable. The project was completed with a great result in a timely manner.

We did a complete interior remodel of our home and hired Elle Interiors LLC to design and project manage this remodel for us. We knew after meeting Ellinor, owner of Elle Interiors, that she would be the right person to collaborate with on this project. She had great ideas on design and helped bring our vision to life. Ellinor kept her hands on our project throughout and was part of all major design and construction decisions. She assigned Travis to be our project manager and he was communicative and responsive throughout the remodel. He was also incredibly helpful with design decisions. Our main carpenter was Jeff, whom installed cabinets in the bathrooms, kitchen, in the living areas, and many other projects and his attention to quality came through in all his work with amazing finishes. Juan did all the tile work in the bathrooms, kitchen, and wine feature, was a true artist with great attention to every detail and we could not be happier with the outcomes. We are incredibly appreciative of Ellinor’s focus on the quality of the work and on bringing our vision to a finished product that we get to enjoy as a family now that we are completed.

We hired Elle Interiors to update our newly purchased home. The home had been built in the late 1990’s and needed some updates especially in the kitchen and master bathroom. All areas were affected except for two front bedrooms. The work involved whole house paint, tile, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, construction, door hardware, furniture, wall art, rugs, and accessories. The all-in-one aspect offered by Elle Interiors was appealing in our decision to hiring Elle Interiors. They offered interior design and construction management to create our beautiful and functional home. We had interviewed some other companies, but I especially liked the ideas presented by Ellinor. Her ideas have made our home so much more functional and met our needs perfectly. In the beginning, Ellinor and her team helped me identify the look that I wanted. They provided me with choices, but always were there to make sure the design was cohesive. We started the project in 2021 so there were many supply chain issues that came up throughout the project. The Elle Interior team worked the issues quickly and professionally. All communication was handled efficiently and professionally. We worked with a couple designers, at first Morgan and then transitioned to Travis. Each was very easy to work with, highly qualified, and demonstrated excellent customer service. The construction crews were always respectful and easy to work with. Any issues involving workmanship were handled professionally. The project was not finalized until we were completely happy with the results.

The team at Elle Interiors is truly exceptional and receives our highest recommendation. During our comprehensive makeover of a newly purchased home, we have received beautiful design alternatives that fit our unique style preferences and price points, outstanding planning and timely project implementation, constant communication, and exacting standards in all project phases. We had an amazing experience working with Ellinor on a complete renovation of our 3,500 sq. ft home in Phoenix. The end results were sensational and literally took our breath away. We would never have been able to see the potential of what was possible had we tried to do it ourselves. We were advised/involved in all aspects of the transformation. New paint colors, flooring, fabrics, lighting, art work and furniture choices. Beautifully laid out pages/photographs of all options for the interior were presented to us. When we wanted to downsize to a new home, Ellinor (who also has a contractors license) advised us on the possibilities of what we could do to make this new home our dream home. Based on the pre-purchase visit with Ellinor we in fact purchased our new home of 2,200 sq. ft in Glendale. Our idea for our home was for a light, airy, spacious, soft and Zen-like feel. We have a beautiful white kitchen, hard wood floors, soft cream and/or white window fabrics which I love to watch move in the breeze and furniture in light natural woods throughout. One of Ellinor's expertise is artwork and we love our muted and subtle pieces which would be hard to find in any local stores. We were nervous at times but really appreciated in learning to 'trust the process' and move out of our old comfort zone. It has been an amazing all around experience and we have again, found ourselves living in a stunning and beautifully put-together home.

Our home was transformed by comfortable and stylish furniture and a new massive window wall. . Elle and Travis listened to what was important to our family and incorporated some of our eclectic furnishings. The result is no cookie cutter home. It looks great and works well for our entertaining, style and comfort objectives. The result is definitely a home run.

In 2018, I had partnered with Ellinor to help refurbish a rental property and prepare for listing it; with her expertise I was able to get top dollar for it. Flash forward to 2022 and I just signed a contract with Shea homes to build my new semi-custom primary residence. I knew that the first person I must get in touch with after signing the contract is Ellinor so that she can guide my wife and I through the selections at the Shea Design Center. Working with Ellinor on this project is easily one of the best decisions I have made! Ellinor was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. Prior to the Shea Design appointment, Ellinor set up a Zoom call with us to talk about style preferences, budget and strategies for achieving highest potential with upgrade selections. At the design appointment, Ellinor helped guide us through potentially overwhelming number of major decisions! (Imagine picking out cabinets, flooring, countertops, fixtures etc in a 4 hour appointment...). Not only did Ellinor help us narrow down the upgrade options to our top few selections, but she helped put all the "pieces" together so that our new home had a consistent design style throughout. Equally as important, she informed us where to focus our upgrade dollars for maximum return and helped us avoid unnecessary or costly upgrades we could do after moving in. In summary, hiring Ellinor for this project was the best decision ever. She made it a stress free experience that my wife and I actually enjoyed and will have fond memories of for years to come. My advice for anyone buying a new home through a builder is to hire Ellinor to represent you in the design center process. Consider it a very reasonable investment that will reap benefits for years to come!!

We loved Elle Interiors design for our home (kitchen/family room) remodel and selections of the hardware, flooring, cabinet, countertops. Ellinor worked with us to understand our preferences, and at the same time she also made us think outside of the box with the selections which we may not have gone with otherwise. There were minor issues with some of the materials where enough was not ordered, or the product was not a right fit and but otherwise the materials arrived on time for our contractor to be able to proceed forward with the construction. One constructive feedback is that during construction, Elle Interiors was very hard pressed to make time when we were desperate to seek a few design clarifications. We had to be insistent to get the time or a visit which we finally did when Ellinor assigned Travis, one of the designers on Ellinor’s team to help address our design concerns/questions during construction. Travis was very prompt and helped us move forward. The finished look came out great and we are happy.

Elle designed and delivered our entire indoor and outdoor living space. The result is both beautiful and functional. The project was completed several months ago and we still love every detail. One of the benefits with Elle is her ability to match the interior design to compliment and enhance the architecture of the house (Mediterranean in our case). We now enjoy a wonderful and seamless outdoor/indoor living area year-round. Elle's staff and contractors were responsive and professional and are rock-stars. Well done and Thank you!

I never could have hoped that this remodel would have turned out this amazing! The design is excellent and still amazes me every time I come home. Elle truly captured what it was I wanted. The whole process was very smooth from start to finish. I found the contractors to be true craftsmen with exceptional fit and finish in every area of the project. Elle herself was very charming and extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the project. I found her and her staff very attentive to my questions throughout the process.

My experience with Elle Interiors was frustrating, stressful and disappointing. For the record, I have worked with multiple contractors and designers over the years as well as managed some projects myself. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I was told the project would be completed by the end of September. It was completed in mid-December when I took over large portions of managing the work myself. To be fair, there were some good things. The pros were that the designer's initial ideas were fresh and interesting. The staff were very hardworking and pleasant despite having too many projects and too little autonomy. The cons are many, so I will mention them in categories: project management, cost, results and accountability. Project management was abysmal if not completely lacking. I never received an overall project plan with due dates. Tasks only got completed when I repeatedly asked for estimates and asked for each element of work to be scheduled and rescheduled. Project delays were almost entirely due to neglect, not supply issues. For example, even after months of asking, light fixtures and bathroom mirrors were not ordered. To keep the project moving forward, I ended up choosing and purchasing these items myself rather than continuing to wait for a response from the company. Two months into the project I saw the first project spreadsheet. It would have spent the entire budget for about half the work. Because of cost and scheduling frustrations, I ended up having to hire my own subcontractors for the electrical work, the light fixtures, window coverings and carpeting--all work that was completed for less than half of Elle’s estimated cost and on the original schedule. Probably the most frustrating part of the project was the lack of accountability. No one took responsibility for the overall contract. When the project stalled, the designers blamed the contractors, the contractors blamed the company, and Elle refused to take responsibility for anything. When I questioned the lack of follow-up, Elle asked, "Why do you keep blaming us?" I completely understand supply chain challenges and the difficulty in getting contractors when demand is high. I do not understand when orders are not placed, availability is not checked, and there is no follow-up or oversight. In short, my experience with Elle Interiors barely rates one star. I found Elle to be arrogant and dismissive of my concerns and questions. While there is some good design talent, I would strongly recommend that you not hire this company to manage your project.

We started working with Elle Interiors in February 2020. Unfortunately, we were all faced with the pandemic for the entire project. The home turned out beautifully with many unique touches. Ellinor and her staff were very nice to work with.

Exceptional in every way. Ellinor did a full house remodel for us and it's just outstanding. She is very collaborative and gave us options + guidance, so perfect consultative approach. From an execution standpoint, there was rarely or maybe never a day when someone wasn't here working - totally impressive, and our neighbors were stunned to see the daily construction. Also somewhat shocking to me, they were on-time! Everyone who has visited our home since the remodel has just been blown away, it's truly stunning! Thank you once again Ellinor!

We initially hired Elle Interiors to redesign almost all of our home, including furniture, decorations, flooring, office built-in. After the success with that project, we then hired Elle Interiors again to remodel our kitchen which also turned out beautiful -- and was all done on time and within budget Very, very happy with the completely new look of our home and would hire her again.

Elle and her team did a beautiful job renovating our mater bathroom and our bar area in the living room. We are very pleased with the results. It was the first time I had ever worked with a designer and I enjoyed the process. Elle’s junior designer Kristi was a joy to work with as was her contractor Greg. Ellinor helped me with many aspects of a remodel of a home we had purchased in the Chandler area. In addition, she chose new furniture for the majority of the rooms. At the beginning, I thought this venture would be overwhelming for me. Ellinor made the entire process stress free! She was very confident and in a few of the situations, I became afraid to “step outside of the box”. I contracted Ellinor to assist me with the complete remodel of an investment property that I wanted to put on the market as a sale. I had a very short time frame to complete the remodel as well as a limited budget. I can truthfully say that working with Ellinor and her expert team was an absolutely amazing experience and helped me get top dollar for my investment and sell the property in record time! I decided to remodel my kitchen and didn't even know where to begin with. I wanted to turn it from something I currently hate into something I would love and be happy to have guests around. My new space needs to be functional, beautiful and spacious. Elli carefully listened to all my concerns and desires and came up with amazing suggestions and design that I would never thought about. She is extremely easy to work with and delivers a rare combination of creative conceptualization and incredible design. I cannot wait for my kitchen to be done!!!

We have a small historical house and she quickly provided us with 5 different workable options to solve a problem to expand and create more usable space while preserving historical integrity. Ellinor did a fabulous job of patiently interpreting our likes and dislikes and turned our generic brown 1990s Phoenix tract home family, living and dining rooms into stylish, comfortable, useful and beautiful spaces! We'll be updating the kitchen at some point and look forward to working with Ellinor again on that project.

We were blessed to have Laura Alice as our lead designer. Our project started out small but, as many do, blossomed as time went on. We owe this to Laura Alice's keen eye, good sense and tactfulness. She is a beautiful young woman, wise beyond her years and a joy all around. She had us figured out from the first meeting and brought our vision to fruition. Actually she helped hone our vision; we weren't sure we even had one! She is professional, well educated and she has great people skills. We found Ellinor online and chose her based on the recommendations and pictures we saw of her work. We first had her come and do a consultation to get some input on updates we wanted to make to our whole house. It was really helpful as she confirmed our thoughts on some things, pushed us outside of our box on others, and gave us some great suggestions that we wouldn't have even thought of! She was very knowledgeable and having her input was invaluable. She gave us a good idea of how much things would cost and helped us prioritize the work. A few months later we were ready to move forward with our kitchen remodel and had her manage the project. It was so helpful to not have to search for contractors or to organize/coordinate timelines, etc. as she did that all. We knew exactly what would happen when - and it stuck pretty close to schedule. This made the remodel a lot less stressful and more enjoyable. In the end, we loved how the kitchen turned out and were super grateful for her help in making it great! Instead, just after closing we gutted the house, and Ellinor helped us create our dream home in less than 30 days. We purchased a new home and wanted a new look from top to bottom. Ellinor helped us pick out interior paint color, baseboards, helped with flooring and ideas about adding and removing drywall to open up our space, along with many other things to think about. We worked with Ellinor on a really large remodel that involved complete kitchen and baths renovations, new flooring, work to the pool and patio, and much more. We are thrilled with the end result and everyone that comes to our house loves our house and the designs. We are so glad we hired Ellinor, as this is something we could never have done on our own! Ellinor was very hands on throughout the entire project, and worked closely with the general contractor and the other trades to make sure things got done according to her designs. We find her to be a very talented designer, and also a very pleasant person. As to expect when doing a large project, there were a few hiccups on the way, but Ellinor made sure everyone stayed on top of things. She also remained positive and cheerful throughout the process, which was very helpful when we sometimes would get hit by “remodel exhaustion”. We are now working with her to add furniture to some of our rooms. Her suggestions are creative and interesting, and she has really helped us pin-point our style. She listens very carefully to her clients, but is then also not afraid to suggest out of the box solutions. The overall experience of working with Ellinor has been very enjoyable, and we find her extremely creative and professional. We have already recommended her to several of our friends.

Elle Interiors managed an extensive redesign of our fireplace, interior painting, replacement of furniture and lighting fixtures and a tile project in our kitchen. They were very professional and provided accurate expectations of pricing and timing. Their eye for design is amazing and we are very happy with the outcome. I plan to use them again soon for additional projects.

I have been working with Ellinor for several years now, and she and her team are one of the most professional design firms in Arizona. Their projects range from contemporary to traditional and Classic European, and as a supplier they keep me on my toes with the needs of such varying project styles. The group at Elle Interiors are fun and creative, and take their business very serious. I recommend them highly.

We hire Elle interiors for a major home remodel. The final cost was well over $100,000. She did an adequate job with design work but was a horrible project manager. We had a major problem with uneven borders between the wood and tile floors then were installed by workers she brought in. She had promised that they would be very professional and would work together. All they did was argue with and blame each other. We pain extra money to remedy the problem but the work still was not done well. She took absolutely no responsibility for the problem after charging us a lot of money for "project management". I would not use her for any project management!

Ellinor listened carefully and quickly developed a great feel for what we were hoping to achieve in our kitchen remodel. She prepared about 8 possible plan options, including the one we ultimately selected that involved removal of existing interior walls. We had not considered this option that required walls removal earlier, and the resulting kitchen we now have is great. We could not be happier with our new kitchen! Ellinor also put us in touch with a custom cabinet craftsman that made our cabinets at considerable cost savings over other builders. This savings more than paid for the cost of using Ellinor throughout the entire project. The new kitchen followed total demolition of the old one, including removal of interior walls and closure of an in-the-floor cold air return duct, and routing of new HVAC ducting in the attic. Addition of a new 5' by 9' island required trenching in the slab floor to connect a new farm-house sink plumbing. We also upgraded an in-suite bathroom in an adjacent bedroom and added plumbing for a new bar sink. The existing hardwood flooring was in-filled to match the existing flooring. All new lighting is entirely LED, with dimmer control capability. A new Sub-zero under-counter refrigerator and new under-counter wine refrigerator, an under-counter microwave oven and new Miele 36" induction cook top were added. A custom-fabricated stainless steel ventilation hood provides a dramatic visual focal point for the new kitchen. An existing 42' Sub-zero refrigerator, Dacor double oven and Bosch dishwasher were relocated in the new kitchen. The result is outstanding!

We bought a house in Apache Jct. in July of 2015. We were still in our old home out of state and not familiar with any professionals here in the valley. I began on the internet and saw Elle Interiors. I called and had a long chat with Ellinor and decided there and then that she was who we would choose to work with. I flew in, met with her and the demolition person and the cabinet maker. Within 2 and 1/2 hours we had everything decided (window treatments, flooring, cabinets, and paint, and wall removal) so they could begin work as soon as possible. The moving trucks came the end of August and things weren't quite finished but everything was on the original timetable as we expected. Ours was a BIG project in that we placed engineered hard-wood floors throughout, remodeled our kitchen, laundry room, completely re-furnished the master bedroom and kitchen nook, along with a whole-house paint job, including fabrics, hardware and window dressing. Added some new furniture, and a few rooms were designed with custom built-ins. Every room of the house was touched in full or part, in the end. Working with Ellinor of Elle Interior, Phoenix AZ, has been a pleasure. I needed a contemporary designer who would efficiently get the remodel project done. I was not disappointed. We had Ellinor come in and give us basic consultation on our new home. She made the most of the 1.5 hour consultation - she was bang on as far as upgrades are concerned. In general she is good at gauging the neighborhood and the upgrades that would make the house blend with its surroundings. We not only get excellent suggestions on remodelling projects but also paint and furniture placement. Even if you are not looking for a full fledged interior designer, I recommend getting atleast a basic consultation with Ellinor. You will not only save time and money but also a lot of trial and error.

We recruited Elle Interiors for two projects. The first one was a color consultation for our home in 2011 and the second one was a master bathroom remodel in October 2012. Our experience was very possitive. After the color consultation we painted and changed out hardware in every single room in our house. The house felt 20 years younger instantly. Ellinor helped us define our style and bring it into the home while balancing our style with the style of the house. Our house was built in 1986. The previous owners had made some improvements to the master bathroom, updated the faucets and re-done the floor in their taste but it just felt dated. The bathroom needed to be brought into the future and into harmony with the rest of the house. Ellinor worked with us to fully renovate a house we purchased both for using personally and for vacation rentals. Changes included all flooring, painting inside and out, repairs of broken tile outside, miscellaneous other repairs, replacement of all faucets and several sinks, full renovation of the master bath, replacement of all door hardware and several light fixtures and fans, and all furnishings including artwork and bedding.
