Once we have decided the overall scope- we like to be engaged to create a discovery project budget with 2-3 level of selections to choose from. If there is construction and furnishings we provide a budget for both categories. If you move forward with us the discovery budget fee is applied to the design fee. This is really important so the client has a good understanding of the overall project it is a great starting point. This is great to have before the final designs are created.

Michelle was such a delight to work with on all our major design projects for our home. What we enjoyed the most was how collaborative Michelle is throughout the process. She helps understand our vision, budget and goals for the space and tries to match it. She also checks in and helps make adjustments along the way. We have been extremely satisfied for over 10 years working with Michelle. She has helped us on numerous projects. We have effectively redesigned our entire house and realized our dream of having spaces that keep us family oriented.

Michelle was involved in my extensive house remodeling. The project was initially limited to the master bathroom redesign. In a very short period of time, the project grew to include changes to the floor plan, remodeling of two and half bathrooms, design of a new kitchen, design of a bar, design of the entertainment unit, design of the grand master staircase, full house hardwood floors, and the buildout of an unfinished basement. She not only was creative in her designs but supervised the constructions and installation of these items. Throughout the project, Michelle was always available and unusually calm (even as I was stressing out). She never hesitated to trouble shoot and resolve a problem by calling a vendor or tradesman. Her extensive experience and outstanding reputation opened showrooms and gave me access to highest quality vendors and materials. She never lowered her standards for the best "fit and finish". I now have an award winning home. I would use only Michelle's Interiors for my next remodeling project.

I used Michelle's Interiors to both remodel and makeover spaces in our house. Specifically spaces used by my teenage girls (their rooms, their bath, a shared space, added hardwood floors, and our great room). The process was a lot of fun for them. Michelle and Erika met with the girls to get information on what they wanted, then did another meeting to present options and have the girls pick everything - including paint colors, material for bedding, furniture, light fixtures, plumbing and shower fixtures, and more! The girls love the spaces, and the remodeling made the spaces much for functional. We would use Michelle's again in a heartbeat, and we'd recommend her to anyone.

i have worked with Michelle for almost 24 years! She decorated my first daughter's baby room and has just just recently completed a kitchen remodel and sunroom on our home. My wife and I have had the pleasure of working with Michelle of Michelle's Interiors for 15 years on various projects. Michelle is an excellent listener. She did not come into any of our meetings with a preconceived plan but rather listened to what we wanted to achieve and within a given budget guideline. Her follow up presentations were clear and concise with several design options to choose from. Her creativity with color choices and furniture selections made our home unique, functional and most importantly comfortable to live in. After seeing a friend's new kitchen, it was clear we wanted to work with Michelle's Interiors. In 2013 Michelle's Interiors completely redesigned our 20- year old kitchen. The original footprint was maintained, however, Michelle made improvements to the layout of the oven, butler's pantry and created a hidden desk area. The use and variety of different cabinetry and stone is stunning! I love to cook, and had been happy with my kitchen for over 20 years. The redesigned kitchen functions better on so many levels. There is not one thing I would change. Based on our complete satisfaction with the kitchen project we decided to completely redo our master bathroom in June of 2014. Again, the design, function and quality were beyond our imagination!

Michelle is great to work with. She has done the majority of decorating and furniture suggestions/purchases for our house in Wisconsin. Even when we find something ourselves that we think might work we run it by her first for a professional opinion. She designed, and managed the installation of custom windows treatments and power operated shades at our Wisconsin house. They look Fantastic, and help tremendously with Sun and temperature fluctuations. She is easy to work with, and flexible in decisions.

My experience with Michelle's Interiors was amazing! We started with my master suite in my suburban Chicago home, which was spectacular! Due to Michelle and her staff's professionalism and the beautiful result in the Master suite, I moved on to finishing the entire lower level. From the cabinetry, to fabrics, to the stair case to every detail it was perfect! My lower level was transformed into a wonderful Tuscan pub, media room and game room that was enjoyed thoroughly by my family and all of our friends. Of course then we moved on to "touch up" a few rooms on the first floor, adding Michelle's magic to my kitchen, office and great room. To say the Great room 2 story fireplace is magnificent is a gross understatement. I also engaged Michelle to assist in the design of my home in Florida, providing me with full electrical schematic and furniture placement. To list the attributes of Michelle, her staff and any contractor she provides, every person is professional, highly skilled, polite, trustworthy and treats you and your home with the utmost respect. In a word "perfect!". (Note that my projects began in 2004 and continued through 2009)

Michelle has a terrific eye for design and applies it towards reflecting the the client's own style and personality. I made a big investment in my residence and wanted it to feel like 'my home'. Michelle and her team were patient and collaborative enough to go through multiple revisions until we found the solutions that were just right. By the end of our project they were making suggestions to me that helped push the boundaries and make choices such that I feel excited every time I walk in the door. What more can you ask for from a design team? Highly recommended.

Fabulous design is what we experienced with Michelle's Interiors. Michelle and her Team developed a beautiful design that exceeded our expectations! Our project was extensive from powder room renovation, re-design of a family room, offices, dining room and multiple bedrooms. Michelle's Interiors did a wonderful job of selecting and coordinating workers for the job as well as providing invaluable assistance on the selection of materials/product to be used on the job. These services ranged from selection of carpeting/wall papers to painters and materials such as wall and floor tiles for the bathroom finishing. Michelle's staff was attentive to the work schedule, prompt in responding to e-mails and phone calls as well as having timely responses to a question regarding an invoice. I could not be more pleased with the experience I had with Michelle's Interiors and would highly recommend them to other people in the market for interior design services.

Michelle has helped pull together beautiful looks for my first brand new home, then for a townhouse, a cabin in the woods, my dayspa business and even my church. The first project was a new, all white house in 1996. I did not know how to pull together a cohesive feel with color that would welcoming, fit my personality and be fun to live in. Michelle brought out the lines in my home, each room complimented the next. After 7 years I never tired of it and my friends and family loved it too. I am sitting in my cozy cabin right now. First time I bought a housefull of new furniture at once and Michelle's advice was spot on. She also helped me with cabinetry, hardware, flooring, even sink shapes, and my "not matchy-matchy" island sitting up on black bun feet. It suits the character of the mountains yet has fun and funky twists like our red king size country bed, brown distressed dressers, & black nightstands. Every purchase was a winner. Michelle and her crew are professional but soon feel like old friends. They keep their promises, are on time, give options to fit the budget and deliver more than expected.

HX Home Solutions and North Star Stone

We hired Michelle to help us redesign our master bath and are absolutely thrilled with the outcome. We wanted to create a spa like setting complete with a larger shower, luxury whirlpool and other creature comforts that women enjoy. Michelle came up with a stunning design that involved some changes of moving a wall, adding pocket doors and relocating some of the plumbing. Her plan included all the materials to be considered for the project and paint colors. We love the whirlpool that is large enough for two and has these fancy lights that change colors as the pool is on. Her design incorporated the existing master bedroom and she helped us with some ideas there also. Michelle is very creative, full of energy and an absolute joy to work with. There are many great designers in Chicago and she is definitely in that elite group of designers.
