Luxury is defined by comfort and to me, creating a comfortable space is my primary concern in designing an interior. A sense of comfort and relaxation is achieved by successfully combining different textures, a complimentary palette and attention to detail. For more than 12 years I have been designing interiors to soothe the soul and evoke a strong sense of harmony and tranquillity. I don’t subscribe to one particular style, preferring to be fluid so that the newly created interiors don’t necessarily fit into a predictable mould. My repertoire includes the Hamptons, Hollywood glamour, Parisian chic, contemporary and classic. I love adding a surprise element to create interiors with a touch of unique style to truly embrace ‘old meets new’. I feel that the most important ingredient to a beautiful interior is the successful partnership between my client and myself. The space is a reflection of the client’s personality and style and my aim is to seamlessly meld it all together, so as to echo my client’s desires. My surroundings, from coffee table books, local and international magazines, travel and most importantly time spent in the country, where my creativity is uninterrupted by the chaos of the city, influence my sense of style. My aim is not to leave my own stamp but to design a sumptuous interior to be enjoyed by clients, their families and friends.
