We deliver high quality work on time and on budget. The majority of our new projects are referred by existing clientele. With forty years of combined experience and hundreds of completed projects in our portfolio, you can have confidence that we can build you the beautiful, functional, wine cellar you have been dreaming about. At Custom Wine Cellars, we take responsibility for your project from start to finish. We provide dedicated project management/consulting and specifications. The person you speak with on the phone will come to your home, design your cellar, work with your contractors and complete your installation. If there are issues in the future, there will be only one number to call. To achieve this high level of satisfaction, the craftsman that does your initial onsite visit and consultation will be the same one managing and communicating with you on the project until it's completion.

Chris and Rob could not be more professional, caring, honest, immensely knowledgable and quality driven when it comes to building wine cellars. While my project was certainly not a large cellar, they extended ultimate care during the entire process. They are nice guys and built a wine cellar for me that exceeded my every expectation. I cannot thank them enough. My Custom Wine Cellar, designed and built by Chris and Rob, has become my favorite room in my home. The pictures below do not do justice to the excellent appearance of my cellar.

Custom wine cellars created the wine cellar of our dreams. We love peeking in and seeing such a gorgeous and efficient space. The company contacts us a few times a year to connect and make sure everything is working well. Couldn't be happier with the service. Our friends were referred to this company after someone did a botch job on their wine cellar. The guys at The Custom Wine Cellar remedied their cellar and they have had no issues since it was redone. You can not go wrong hiring these guys. They are totally professional, efficient, timely and easy going.

Beyond comparison in every regard. Professional, thoughtful and very bright. Rob and Chris' insight proved to be invaluable. The cellar was converted from an old root cellar. The materials used, as well as the utilization of space, were both topnotch. The men are passionate about their work and it shows in the final result. Priced fairly, punctual, quiet and neat, they are a fabulous choice for this kind of work.

I contracted with Chris and Rob because they immediately understood my needs and desires. They challenged some of my ideas to help me achieve my goals but also with their expertise to guide me. I wanted not only a wine cellar but adequate space to have a tasting table. They provided several options that were thoughtfully designed to address my needs. My cellar capacity is 1200 bottles. The project installation was smooth and professional...Chris and Rob are perfectionists and it shows in their work. The quality, finish and structure of the racking is excellent. The result is a beautiful cellar and entertaining space that is one of the highlights of my home. I would recommend Custom Wine Cellars to anyone looking for this type of project in their home.

We used Custom Wine Cellars to build a custom project in Manhattan. Chris and Rob were fantastic throughout the whole process and helped us take our concept and design and turn it into a stunning 1000+ bottle cellar (with a split unit) that integrates seamlessly into our apartment. They helped with all aspects of the project on a technically challenging space. We would highly recommend them for any wine storage project.

Rob and Chris designed a wine room behind a 15' long custom bar we were having made for a total basement project. My wife and I decided we didn't want guests sitting at the bar staring into a typical mirror with shelves displaying liquor so we opted for a 1200 bottle room filled with mostly wines from our 7 visits to Napa Valley. We chose the first design the guys presented without any real changes. The order was placed and the racking came in just as expected. They patiently waited through several months of project delays though and then were finally able to do the work. It came out great!! Rob and Chris are good at what they do. They're real, passionate designers and installers who take pride in what they do with no high pressure sales tactics. They have my recommendation to anyone looking to add a wine cellar. Thanks guys!

Custom Wine Cellars did a superb job designing and installing my cellar in the Western Catskills. They planned the room within a room in the bluestone basement. The room was built to spec and insulated by my contractor - CWC did the design, racking and installed the cooling system. The scope was for just under 3k bottles with some champagne, large format and case storage. They worked within the budget established and delivered a pristine result. Their custom built cooling system has been flawless to date and the humidity has always been within range. I would highly recommend Rob and Chris for any wine cellar project.

My 3rd home with a wine cellar and I had demanding criteria including half bottle, magnum and 750 racking, full use of the corners, and stable temperature control even with a glass door. Their design proposal for 2000 bottles,including a center island, was excellent and has completely satisfied my needs. Their work was well known to me because they also installed my best friend’s cellar. Finally they were strongly recommended by my HVAC engineer and favorite wine company in North White Plains.

Custom Wine Cellars did my wine cellar. We started from a raw basement space and the CWC team were involved in choosing the optimal location as there were several options. Working with Rob and Chris was a real pleasure. Very transparent and reachable at all times. Wine cellar was installed and delivered on time and we couldn't be happier with it. Capacity is a little north of 4000 bottles and the cellar has double depth.
