Where to begin. Catlin's approach is as much about relationship as about understanding the use and philosophy of how you want to live your space. Her designs are high end magazine quality, but her approach is human and deliberate and you never feel like you are bending your spirit and preferences to accomodate a designer's specific ethos. Yes, its zen modernist and yes its sparse and clean - so it you are looking for a rustic log cabin feel or rococco, versace oppulence, I'm sure she could do it, but it's not her vibe. She is simply brilliant in her arena and makes her customers feel like partners that are listened to at each step of the process. I cannot say enough about our experience with Catlin. We had a house, now we have a home and a space that we fall in love with every morning and are proud to show. We've hosted more events in the space in the last year since we finished renovations than in the past 10 years with our pre-reno home.

We loved working with Caitlin! She really took her time and listened to us. Her project respected our needs, our tastes and our budget. Yet she also convinced us to try new options that we would not have tried without her. Likewise, she gently steered us away from bad decisions we would have regretted down the road. The final result is a house we really can call home. It's warm, it's cosy. The many compliments we get from friends don't hurt either! Even two years after the project, Caitlin and Zania immediately helped us with the small problems here and there. A renovation project can be daunting. It never was with the help of Caitlin.

If Catlin is not the best designer in Montreal, I don’t know who is! We did a whole house gut-job renovation with Catlin and wow! Not only the end result is beyond our expectations but the 1 year and half journey to get there was so exciting! Catlin is always on the ball! She literally never forgets/makes mistakes! Her taste is modern, sophisticated and really beautiful! We are so happy to have had her on our team and trusting her advice! Service level is even more than 5 stars! Catlin is a phenomenal designer! The ABSOLUTE BEST as far as we are concerned and she is an even more remarkable human being. She has a heart of gold and a silent confidence about her that is reassuring and calming. Catlin is so talented, meticulous, professional, hard working and always, always pleasant to work with. We loved her modern design and trusted her throughout the entire process. It became clear from the very beginning that she understood our needs and precisely what we were aiming to achieve almost immediately! To help fully update/modernize our 1965 mid-century modern home in Ottawa, we interviewed a number of designers but we had an instant connection with Catlin - even prior to meeting in person. Having Catlin work with us to bring our vision and dream to reality, was one of the best investments we made. Words can't even begin to fully describe how talented and professional she is. It has been impressive watching the way she works - she is creative, fast, responsive, organized, thorough, transparent, honest, and a team player. She listened to our ideas, was sensitive to our budget and became our number one advocate. We thought being in different cities and the barriers created by the pandemic would have been an issue but she made the whole process seamless. She is the gold standard and we would not hesitate to recommend her in a heartbeat.

We hired Catlin to redesign a big home project last year. We were EXTREMELY pleased with the result! Catlin is phenomenal. She completely transformed the house into our dream home. She has incredible taste for beauty, elegance and design. She is by far one of the nicest, creative, organized and professional person that we have met and have already recommended her to numerous friends. We hired Catlin to design our full gut renovation in the Plateau. She managed to give us a beautifully designed, original, and functional space that suited our aesthetic. Her space planning really maximized the use of every square foot. Working with her was a pleasure; she was easily accessible and responsive to our questions and needs. Throughout the process, she was efficient and remained on top of the various aspects of the build and design... we could trust that she was problem-solving as issues came up, and assuring a smooth process. We undertook a full home gut renovation in upper Westmount, with all interior spaces designed by/with Catlin. The house is historic stone/slate. The mandate was to create a very contemporary interior by opening spaces, repurposing areas, and squeezing out as much usable storage space, all in a attractive total solution. In addition there were the more mundane issues like lighting plumbing and HVAC, that had to be done without compromising the design. Catlin undertook all these challenges in a committed and professional manner. She reviewed the work at each step to ensure it was up to her standards. The designs were fresh and created by her, but were modified in a collaborative process with us... the clients. In addition she lobbied suppliers for best pricing and knew when lower priced material alternatives would work. She is a rare designer that works carefully to give great design, hands on involvement, and keep the budget from exploding.

It was a great experience working with Catlin Stoters. Catlin has knowledge, vision and is totallly dedicated. My husband and I were invested in the project to redo completely our main bathroom that was quite dated and in need of professional help, which we got with Catlin.

Catlin is amazing! We had talked to a few designers at the initial phase of our kitchen renovation project. We were not even sure at the time whether we really want this big investment going or not. After the first meeting with Catlin it was settled. We’re doing this, and we are definitely doing this with Catlin! Our expectations were set high at this initial meeting, but her team delivered even beyond our expectations. A big plus for us was that she oversaw the project from the beginning to the end. Coordinating and time-planning the plumber, floor specialist, engineer, contractors, electrician, wall expert is a task doomed to fail if not taken seriously and carefully. Yet she and the team provided us a plan at the very initial phase and pretty much managed to follow this meticulous plan and delivered us our new gorgeous kitchen exactly on the time promised. Planning and successfully executing such a detailed plan with many possibilities of failures at each step is a clean indicator of mature professionalism. The communication among the team is amazing. And plus they are perfectionists: when something is not perfect, we find out that one of the team members had noticed it, had already sent it to Catlin and steps had been taken to correct it. And the taste of the design, harmony with the rest of the house.. Too much thought and hard work has been devoted to our kitchen, and we are grateful.
