We could write pages telling you about our AMAZING experience with Cook Remodeling. Instead, we would just like to tell you why we highly recommend Cook. We needed to add a RV garage, back patio and guest house to our existing home. Cook helped us plan everything! Starting with the Blueprints and multiple revisions on our part down to the last worker there, it was a great experience. We loved their attention to every detail and appreciated their valuable and experienced input. All workers and contractors were professional and a pleasure to work with and our neighbors appreciated the daily cleanup that keep the streets clean and cleared at the end of the day. The quality of their work is five star, the job was completed ahead of schedule and we loved working with the owner, Jeff Cook, who was always on site. Jeff’s presence and personal attention allowed quick and painless resolution of all those issues that always pop up when you start the process. We are so pleased with our new and improved home and have received nothing but complements from friends, family and neighbors. Again, we highly recommend Cook Remodeling. They were a blessing.

This is the second project that Cook Remodeling has done for us and each one was a great experience! Right from Natalie guiding us through design options and selections to the team that did the work -- they were all very helpful and we were very impressed with the final results. Jeff did a great job tying up our project ending punch list and we would have no hesitation in recommending them for your home renovation needs. Great team and service all around!

My husband and I were very impressed that Cook Remodeling brought a designer to the bid appointment. We were lucky enough to have Natalie as our designer, she had a wonderful eye for design, detail and is a dream to work with. The 3 "D's". . Our Project managers Nick and Jeff were awesome, they communicated very well with the status and were quick to answers the questions we had. They did an awesome job. They quoted us 4 to 6 weeks and we had the house back in 5 weeks. We are and will continue to recommend them to our friends, family and neighbors. Thanks guys love everything. Mike and Debbie

Cook Remodeling completed a significant addition to our house, which included an office, workshop and a wonderful patio to an older home. Jeff and his team did a very professional, thorough job and were a pleasure to deal with, always showing up when expected and leaving the work site (our home) clean each day when they were done. We consulted with Jeff as we were closing on the house to discuss the scope of the project and had Cook Remodeling start the work a few of months after moving in. The quality of the work and attention to detail from his team were evident throughout the project. Jeff did a great job of coordinating with key contractors and was here at key points to make sure things were done correctly. We called Cook as we were familiar with their work. Our cabinets are 20+ years old. We had installed granite several years ago and wanted the countertops to stay. Natalie Walker advised us to go with cabinet refinishing---I was hesitant and was thinking about painting. We took her advice and have not been sorry! Luis is a true craftsman and a perfectionist. When he was unhappy w a shelf, he took the finish off and started all over. We also added concealed hinges which improved the look. The finish on the cabinets is beautiful with a soft satin sheen. At the last minute we added the laundry room cabinets as well and are so happy with the matching rooms. You can trust these people---quality work at a reasonable price.

Excellent company and excellent service. Everyone that came to work was always pleasant, knew what they were doing and did not cut corners. Cook construction completed a 1,000 sq. ft. addition to my home. The addition turned out real nice and looks like it was part of the original construction. Very happy with Jeff and his team. Chose Cook Remodeling to redo my kitchen. Their designer came to the house and I told him that I felt the kitchen wasn't really functional, and had a lot of wasted space. We sat down and came up with a plan to utilize "dead space" that could be used for electronic items that were in my linen closet and garage because there was no room for them in the kitchen. He also pointed out other things I didn't take into consideration, which we also incorporated. Overall, I am very pleased with the result. I have a totally contemporary kitchen, which is exactly what I wanted. The workmen always showed up when they were supposed to, which was a pleasant surprise. I think they do top notch work and really care about their image.

I would highly recommend Cook Remodeling & Custom Construction. I could not have been happier with their expertise, knowledge and ability to finish the remodeling project in a prompt manner. I was given a work schedule at the beginning of the project and throughout the project everything was on schedule as originally proposed.

BUYER BEWARE! . Jeff Cook gave us a price and it kept getting higher and higher because of change orders we always assumed were in the quote. When we asked his sub what the additional work would cost (work any normal personal would assume is in the contract) he gave us a price. Jeff then said "Wait that does not include my mark up." When asked what his mark up was he said "50%". We then requested information for verification. He produced a document showing 60% mark up (document attached below). The costs on this document are artificial costs. Jeff not only lied about the 50% mark up, but in fact the 60% mark up was on an inflated cost. Jeff's true mark up is closer to 100%. We always assumed his mark was about 20% To make matters worse Jeff never obtained a permit to do major structural work. When asked about this he said "Since it is inside the house he didn't think anyone would notice."

In the normal course of a remodeling project, homeowners often make additions to the original scope of work, which becomes a Change Order to the original contract. A homeowner is told how much the addition to the original scope of work will cost, and they decide whether or not to authorize the Change Order.

We have provided credible third party white papers that have explained the remodeling industry’s mark-up for the cost of doing business, which is upwards of 60%.

Cook Remodeling takes pride in its 38 year reputation of fair pricing and stellar customer service. We have offered to address this customer’s complaints in accordance with the terms of the contract. Cook Remodeling has to date received no response to its offer to resolve the complaint in the manner stated in the contract.

Our remodel of the master bath and closets started well till the day it was to begin. It was not to start till all materials were on hand. The first day the manager told me they could not get the tiles I wanted so he brought another. They were not white, they were smaller subway-style tiles and turned out when that viewing them in bright sun light, were far darker than we thought. The tile installers wrecked the tub we were leaving, by putting the tile they were scraping off in it without protection. Long story short, the manager was fired after our remodel was done, the tile guys were also. We had told them to use our saved travertine for the floor where it is viewed, and the Floor and decor travertine in the closets. They never used one of our best travertine tiles and it shows! The heavy glass door to the shower had to be put back by the installers as it slipped from its proper position, and already needs another adjustment. The good part of the remodel was they finished on time. The bad part, we seem to have paid far more than most remodeling jobs cost. I would not recommend this company.

Very professional. Jeff worked with us all the way through the project of a total gut, removing walls & remodel of our master bath, making it totally handicapped accessible. Lots of personal attention helping us make decisions when we asked for opinions. Never pushy, never condescending and never overstepped boundaries. All their workers were respectful of our home, belongings, pets & us. My husband is disabled and they were very helpful & respectful to his wants, needs and his limitations in mobility & communicating. Scott, the project manager, triple checked all work done as each step was completed. He was very detail oriented to make sure everything was top notch. Any questions or concerns were quickly dealt without hesitation.

I have remodeled 2 kitchens and 3 baths over the years. Two baths and one kitchen were remodeled by Cook Remodeling. After my kitchen was done I never even looked for another company to do my master bath. I had an idea and Cook helped me complete it. From the design to finish I was happy with the out come. The salesman, project boss and all the workers were respectful, helpful and professional. If I had a question or wanted something done differently than what was planned there was no problem adding or changing the plan. I would and have recommended Cook Remodeling for any project. Cook Remodeling recently renovated our master bathroom, taking a 34 year old bathroom and bringing it completely up to date. From design to completion the experience was excellent. There was never a lag in communication, we were appraised of what would be done and when it would be done in advance, and the skills of the employees were exemplary. Their care for the workplace was beyond our expectations and the entire area was cleaned up before the employee(s) left for the day. The finished product exceeded our expectations. As a result of the excellent work they did in the master bathroom we have contracted with them to remodel another bathroom in our home. I highly recommend this company.
