I hired this company 15 years ago to combine two apartments into one. Now 15 years later, I am recommending John Murray to my daughter who will be combining two apartments as well. My daughter has always loved our alteration and would like to achieve a similar feeling.

We hired Caseworks Design Group for a kitchen renovation in our Upper West Side apartment and couldn't be happier. We found them to be professional, courteous and very conscious about keeping our project in scope and on time. We just purchased a house in New Jersey and have hired them to help us turn our fixer upper into a home.

Caseworks handled the design and renovation of our SoHo loft from envisioning, complete gutting, to supervising the contractors. The result was 1600 sq.ft. of stunning space including a state-or-the-art kitchen, new bath-and-a-half, two bedrooms, replacement of windows and flooring, and complete AC. John and Carla presented us with a wide range of material and design choices and were a delight to work with. They solved complex problems related to AC installation and the tricky location of a washer/dryer as well as managed inconveniences to others in our co-op building. They kept within budget and honored deadlines. We look forward to working with them again.

Our family purchased a 320 square foot studio apartment in New York City in 2003. It was a complete mess from a livable standpoint. We completely gutted this apartment and all final workings were like new. Caseworks was asked to do architectural and supervisory work for this renovation. Ideas for this small apartment such as a Murphy bed, closets, open shelves, electronic points such as home entertainment and computer use, bathroom renovations and limited kitchen space were areas our family had no experience with, and Caseworks helped us through the stages. John Paul Murray and his associates were very professional to work with, and their suggestions and experience in this project was critical to the end result. Our family lives in South Carolina and we had very limited time to be present in the City. Caseworks carefully supervised every step of the process. They were easy to work with, and were instrumental in encouraging our contractor to finish our project. The project took about seven months, during which we could not stay in the apartment. The end result, however, was well worth the wait.

The project i hired Caseworks to manage underwent several metamorphoses, and was slowed by a series of obstacles, none of which were caused by Caseworks. It was, to say the least, a bit of an ordeal, and I wouldn't have survived the process without John and his staff. They created a terrific design, helped with the selection and managed the oversight of the contractor, navigated the daunting hallways and regulations of the NYC Department of Buildings, and went above and beyond to pull me through a nearly ruinous plumbing failure from an adjacent building. Caseworks is a small firm, your job won't be neglected. And their fees are fair and transparent, calculated solely on the basis of time spent on your project plus reimbursables. You won't pay them another 10% of the cost of a lighting fixture they've selected as part of their design. I recommend them highly and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
