My family and I had the pleasure of working with Capstone to add on and update our 1931 tudor home. We really can't convey how much we appreciate the dedication and joy they brought to our home. The entire team is made up of craftsmen that take pride in their work. They are collaborative and resourceful, always working with us to make every detail the best it can be. That didn't always mean spending more either. We had complete trust in their decisions because it is clear from the start that your house means as much to them as it does to you. We have no hesitation recommending them to anyone and hope we get the opportunity to work with them again.

Jonathan and his team at Capstone did a major remodel on our home in west Austin that included the kitchen, master bath, master bedroom, and all common areas. From the early planning stage to the final punch list, Jonathan was always there to guide us through the process, had great recommendations, and kept a focus on the details. His crew always kept the work space clean and were sensitive to the impact on our family. The best part about working with Jonathan was his honesty and his passion to do the best job possible. Remodels can be difficult and frustrating but I would not hesitate to work with Jonathan and his team in the future.

We did a renovation and addition with Capstone. We were originally going to just do an addition and cosmetic updates on the rest of the house but we decided to do a gut renovation. I'm so glad we did. We love our house on the inside and out. Jonathan was really great to work with and we feel very lucky we found him. We know other people who have had terrible experiences with contractors and we were nervous about that going in but we really had a great experience. Brad is great to work with as well and the subcontractors they use are nice people too, I always felt very comfortable with the people Jonathan had working in our home. Any time an issue came up, like budget or changing something that didn't look right, it was easy to talk it through with Jonathan and get an outcome we all felt good about. We love our house and our experience with Capstone was great.

Jonathan and his team at Capstone Custom Homes built our unique 5000 sq ft home in the hill country outside Austin. We can't recommend Jonathan highly enough. From the earliest planning stages through the final touches on our project, he consistently went above and beyond anything we could have expected to ensure that our home was not only picture perfect, but was exactly and precisely what we wanted. From choosing the perfect build site on our 7 acres to suggesting a loft area to link the kids' rooms, Jonathan contributed not only solid practical ability in building and managing our project, but also creative and aesthetic ideas that dramatically improved our house. He patiently worked through each of our exacting requirements, and insisted that every worker on the project get every detail perfect. He even went so far as to take over managing the pool construction (at no extra charge, though it was beyond the scope of his contract) when the poolbuilders proved incompetent, just to be sure we weren't left with an unfinished or substandard outcome. As Jonathan said to us up front, he wasn't our cheapest bid, but he wasn't the most expensive either, and he was definitely worth every penny we paid him -- we are tough customers, and we never would have gotten the house we wanted from another builder. What is most telling about Jonathan is that he remains close friends with almost everyone he builds for. When you consider that a great many people wind up so frustrated that they actually sue their builders, Capstone's customer satisfaction success really says something!

Purchased a new home from Capstone in Nov. 2014. We have been exceptionally pleased with the purchase and followup to items ever since. Jonathan and his crew have been very professional, responsive and a pleasure to work with.

I've worked personally with Capstone and the owner, Jonathan, for several years now. We did a solid wooden counter top for Capstone and also a set of solid wood / metal sliding doors. At RefineElements.com, we specialize in high end custom furniture design and do installations on occasion for a few select clients. Capstone is one of those home builders which we IMMENSELY enjoy working. We've not had to waste our time on building delays, etc. They instill a a wonderful collaborative working environment. Great insight and creativity with a focus on solutions that are budget conscious. I find few businesses that have the ability to balance great design, simplicity and good overall project management. Highly recommended and amazing quality work, especially for the money.

My husband and I recently bought a house from Jonathan and we couldn't have been happier! Not only was the house unique & beautiful, it was functionally laid out to maximize living space per square footage -- something not all and actually, very few new homes have. Great attention to detail in all the finishes --this is not a cookie-cutter builder. Clearly time and thought was taken into each process from the layout (with the beautiful view) down to the lighting in the walk-in pantry. All issues we noted prior to closing were completed in a timely manner as well as the few small things we have had issues with following closing -- and he still continues to request we let him know immediately if we have problems arise! We have alrealdy planned that if we ever decide to move (in 10 + years), we will have Jonathan build us our next home.

Outstanding work from the team at Capstone. Friendly, collaborative approach led to a house that is truly reflective of what we wanted, not the needs of the builder, not the focus of the architect, but the actual folks living in the home. Our truly custom home reminds us every day of how great that is and we are very grateful. Pricing was fair and timelines were about as accurate as one can hope for with a big project like ours. Best of all, Capstone stands by their work and makes sure to stick around for those post-delivery projects.

Capstone sure builds quality homes. Many items that would normally be considered an upgrade are simply included. I brought them plans for a house I found online and before I knew it we were changing layouts, moving walls and customizing the entire thing. We moved in a couple of months ago and I still find myself amazed that we could actually afford our dream home. Other builders just showed us a few different floorplans and it seemed like everything was an upgrade. I honestly could not have done this without Capstone.
