Voted Best of Houzz Service-2017! I learned how to use a saw the same day I learned how to walk. After my dad first taught me how to saw wood and nail it together, there was no stopping me. I would always help him during his weekend around-the-house projects. What I did not learn from my father I learned while I was apprenticing for a contractor while in high school. I built skateboard ramps at 12, worked on houses at 16, and now build beds and other furniture at 23. I have years of experience and continue learning more on every project I work on. Brett built a little library for me from scratch, using salvaged materials. He also painted it. It is very well constructed, and beyond wonderful! It is installed in my front yard, is chock full of children's books, and is registered with LittleFreeLibrary.org and is on the world map. Brett is very personable and professional and great to deal with, especially because he was very enthusiastic about the project. I would use him for any carpentry needs, as I trust him and respect his craftsmanship.

Brett made me what every girl could ever want, a custom dream bed. Not only was he a pleasure to work with, i.e: communicating frequently on ideas, improvements etc, he is laid back and just a cool dude. I feel the most comfortable when I'm in this bed. It is a piece I will honestly cherish and have for the rest of my life. 10/10 and can't wait to order my next piece from Brett's Wood!

After countless hours shopping for the perfect bar cart from my home, I found that either the prices were too high or that the quality and style were not aligned with what I was looking for. I had a friend recommend me to Brett's Wood and I contacted him in hopes he could build the bar cart that I was looking for high quality material, classic but unique and most importantly within my budget. Brett created THE perfect item I was struggling to find. His deep understanding of custom design combined with his passion for building, made the process easy and enjoyable. He brought me samples of reclaimed wood from a number of shops in the area until he found the one I wanted.
