Bolen Designs

We have used Jennifer Bolen (Bolen Designs) for the remodel of our kitchen and redesign of our den fireplace. Jennifer listened to our inputs and made valuable suggestions and create designs for our assessment. My wife and I are difficult clients and we do not agree on much. I like more earth tones (Browns, blues, greens) and my wife likes cleaner looks (whites, greys). Jennifer was able to navigate our different likes and help us find common ground that was a real challenge. We both are very happy with the output. She has a good relationship with some solid subcons that do good quality work which in this environment is critically important. Her ability to manage the subcons is as valuable as her design work. She stays on top of it. We recommended her to a friend who also ended up using her and is also happy with the results.

Jennifer was so easy to work with and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome of the project. Just to provide a little background on my project and myself. I have no design skills at all but what I wanted was a wet bar and a TV watching area. I had a very generic gameroom and no media room in my home. My husband had painted the walls a dark blue color that he liked and didn't want changed. Other than that I didn't really know how to describe what I wanted other than a place for the family to gather, watch TV, a fridge and a sink. With very little to work with other than that description she was able to help guide me through the process of identifying pics online of what I liked and didn't like. In the end was a result I was very very happy with. I didn't have any pictures of the furniture or curtains but everything came together very cohesively. We ended up moving a year later during COVID but one thing we heard over and over again from the offers submitted was the gameroom just sold them on our house. I plan to call her again soon for future projects in my new home. Highly highly recommend.

Jennifer was amazing to work with! We converted a garage into a wine room and redid our laundry room and mud room! She was able to hear what I wanted, and created something more than I ever dreamed of. She was meticulous and stayed on task. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing help with a project!

Jennifer is extremely talented and really makes your visions come to life. The entire process is professional. We couldn't have been happier in our choice to have Bolen Designs renovate all 4 of our bathrooms and our laundry room. Jennifer is a great designer. She took time to understand our individual tastes and needs for the space and created a classy design that we both love. She is upfront with costs and will consult with you about all expenses throughout the project to stay on budget. She set up an idea board on houzz for us to exchange design thoughts and images. After we worked out the final design idea she created a detailed digital design of the space and brought us sample materials to see in person. In addition to her sharp design skills, she is also very knowledgable of the construction codes. We recommend Bolen Designs, she will design a beautiful space for you.

Jennifer took a bland white bathroom request and made it into a beautiful bathroom that we love to spend time in and even show off. Our original bathroom was old, outdated and someplace I never wanted to go into. She was professional, trustworthy and easy to work with. She had a positive attitude even when things got a little difficult with the first contractor. We will definitely use her again.

We have worked with Jennifer on two projects over the last couple years - first, our kids' Jack & Jill bathroom and then our Master Bedroom (see Newport Master Bedroom photos). Both turned out fantastic because: 1. Jennifer listens. She takes the time to understand the requirements of each project, gathering your input, presenting options and building a design around what you love. 2. She's savvy. Jennifer is great to work with. Paid attention to the details and there were several things we would have down wrong or not done at all without her guidance. Jennifer worked hard to please us when we deviated from the plan (and at times I know we were a challenge to work with). Jennifer was always thinking about the budget, looking for the best deals and kept us on track. We have other projects she will helping us with in the future.

Bolen Designs is awesome. I have known Jennifer for several years now. We first met when I hired her to fluff up my existing bedroom, living room and den. It was a challenge to find someone that would help design a space that was already decorated but needed extra finishes. Her special talent was the ability to photo shop the design space, listen to our requests, research and deliver on a budget. Seeing the concept on the computer was very helpful. My most recent re-do was the transformation of my living room and dinning room. She took it from a traditional, old world space to match the modern southwest concept in our den. The make over of my mother's china cabinet was probably the most emotional adventure. She had this concept to make it over knowing how attached I was to this piece. I will never forget this project as the room makes me smile every time I walk into my fabulous space. My family of 5 can now entertain at my very large dinning room table. It is very helpful to have a design service that will not break your bank but is honest with you on what you can achieve with your space. I look forward to updating my kids game room soon.

I hired Bolen Designs to update and redesign my home. Her designs for each room never failed to impress me. She worked tirelessly on each room down to every little detail. For example, it took many swatches and pairings of those swatches before she found the right look for the pillows in my den. She is careful to find the best price on furniture, and quality decorative items. Overall, this project took about a year and a half. Jennifer remained dedicated and it was always a pleasure to work with her. She is so talented. And, truly is a master designer. I absolutely love my home!

I've used Bolen Designs for 2 projects in my house so far! The first was my closet. Rather than have a big closet company do my closet, she said she could build it for me. It's just fantastic, took under a week and we came in under budget. She also updated and fixed up my boys rooms. They went from messy kids rooms to fabulous Teen rooms! They were thrilled and so was I.
