Bruce Olson Construction was formed in 1974 with Bruce working alongside his crew, building simple homes of quality for discerning clients. Over the years, his reputation grew as did his scope and scale of work. Bruce prefers to have his own tradesmen perform nearly all work on a project, avoiding the outside influence of scheduling conflicts and variances in product and quality inherent to the use of subcontractors. Most other builders only aspire to achieve the quality of his homes and the high standards he demands. Bruce Olson is known for Old Tahoe style designs, hallmarked by an approachable feel and perception even to large structures, rustic native materials that bring texture depth and durability, repetition of detailing, prominent and well-proportioned fireplaces, deep roof overhangs, shed or gabled dormers, a nature color palette, integrated indoor/outdoor spaces, exposed detailed beams and rafters all blending the structure into its surroundings.

Bruce Olson have long history of building high quality houses in the Tahoe area, they do a great job with custom steal and cabinetry built. We have worked with them on numerous occasion on different projects/houses and I they have always been very professional.

Our 55,000 square feet custom home was designed and built by Olson Construction. The quality and craftsmenship is outstanding and the employees have been very attentive to make any repairs since completion. We would highly recommend Bruce Olson Construction, Inc.

Bruce Olson Construction is a true bespoke builder whose in-house team of professionals never cease to amaze us with their level of creativity and craftsmanship. We have been fortunate to provide materials to some of his projects and always proud and gratified to see the workmanship and creative refinement that they take in even the smallest of details. Their work appears to grow out of the surrounding landscape as opposed to being built on top of it. Stone, timber, bark, and sod flow upward from their home sites in ways that truly evoke a spirit of reverence for the land around it. Bruce Olson Construction stands as a benchmark for those who seek only the best.

Bruce Olson Construction did the construction on my retail store in San Francisco, CA. They did an exceptional job! They were professional, organized, responsive, & a delight to work with. The work was extensive. Walls were torn down, a new ceiling was put it, new walls were put up, new flooring was installed, and custom fixtures made by Bruce Olson Construction were installed. Every detail was executed with perfection. The quality was beyond compare. I highly recommend Bruce Olson Construction for your construction needs!
