Bill Moore and his staff personify Vermont artisan builders. Mr. Moore and his associates exceeded our expectations throughout the construction of our house. We would present an idea or change and Mr. Moor’s experience and knowledge base helped us incorporate our ideas into the house design and construction. For example, we added an apartment to the backside of our house requiring a complete redesign of the kitchen and adding a passageway to the apartment. Mr. Moore and his design team took our idea and developed new plans without adding construction materials or time. Mr. Moor put together a terrific construction team consisting of myriad local contractors while incorporating and accommodating contractors from other locals. Again, an example is the installation of 24 solar panels. Mr. Moore and his design team worked with local, state, and federal agencies to purchase and install our panels. In addition, his team worked with federal and stated officials ensuring we would receive any and all subsidies available at the time. We would recommend Mr. Moore and his design team for any household construction project. They are efficient, polite, highly technical, and build a house to exacting specifications.

Bill Moore both designed and built our home in the Mad River Valley. We had been looking for someone to build a home for our family and friends to come together to share special times. A friend suggested we talk to Bill Moore. From the first meeting Bill took the time to get to know us and understand how we wanted to live in the house. He was able to sift through the reams of ideas and photos we brought to him and add his own creative design skills to meld his ideas with ours perfectly. Construction was accomplished smoothly with Bill, Tom and their very professional and talented team. Their standards are high and it can be seen in the finished product. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire process. But, having the opportunity to know Bill Moore and work with him has made our home a very special place for our family.

Bill's team did a spectacular job expanding and redesigning our kitchen and mudroom. Levon really understood the look we wanted. He made some creative changes to our intended layout that allowed us to gain space for a pantry and hutch. Tom and his talented team executed the design perfectly - everything about the new space is comfortable and well constructed, and it blends in nicely with the existing house. We hate leaving it!

We would like to thank Moore Design Builders for the excellent job both Bill and Levon did in finishing our basement. Seems that it's not customary to get great customer service from a builder so we thought, until we met Bill and Levon. We wanted to get our basement finished as from the day we built our home we had planned on doing so one day. Seems many of the local contractors we found wanted to build it their way without listening to our needs or desires. Many wanted to use outdated practices to cut corners for their work schedule or sheer ability. Both Bill and Levon were recommended from another satisfied customer/friend of ours. From the moment they came and spoke to us about what we wanted from ideas of maximizing space and utilizing the light of the basement windows to getting the most usable space from a basement insomuch as to make it a room to have fun and share enjoyment for years to come. Bill had explained and debunked what the others had made us believe and was keen on listening to our desires of what we wanted. Levon also listened and made sketches as we walked around and described what we wanted for the room and what we planned on doing. Actually giving us a better idea of the usage of space than we ever had planned for the basement. In actuality the room we had as extra future space turned out nicer than our other rooms in the house. Now our minds are thinking of future plans and we definitely will use Moore Design Builders in the near future.

Mr. Moore is a very accomplished design/builder and remodeler. He took a small, over 100 year old dark home and brightened it up and made it very warm and cozy. By designing a gable roof with a clear story he was able to bring in a lot of light and change the whole appearance of the inside. In addition he eliminated a few interior walls to make the house more spacious. He is very imaginative and creative and an excellent craftsman. His attention to detail and the people who work with him are superb. He improved our home so much and his rates were quite modest and reasonable. He completed the project on time. He was able to draw on many years of experience with both simple projects and very elaborate and magnificent ones.

Moore Design Builders knowledge, experence and attitude were all 5 star. There ability to seamlesly design and construct a kitchen addition onto our 50's ski house was not without problems. From old bowed concrete floors to rotted sills under the homes perimeter walls Moore Design accomplished the task thru there ability to work together. My wife and I were updated regularly via e-mail pictures of the progress. The job now completed looks great and functions well. We are completly satisfied with the results.

Moore Design Builders came in to my 1850s school house home and created a bathroom with a dormer and built a garage. They showed up EVERY day while they were working on the house. The job site was neat and picked up at the end of every work day. The people doing the work were respectful and considerate of the fact I was living in the house. The work they did has held up well. They were over budget, and then again, I asked them to do more a few more things than we originally planned so who's to say. They also have been most accommodating in helping me make repairs to my house since the initial project. They show up when they say they will and always do excellent work. I highly recommend Moore Design Builders.

We encountered Moore Design Builders from verbal references from people we know in the Central Vermont area. We live in Vermont. When we purchased our home, we knew it would require some significant upgrading, specifically a three season room, deck and patio. This work would frame the magnificent views we had of the surrounding valley and hills. When we were ready, we called Bill Moore. Bill came to our home; we sat very comfortably at the kitchen table and outlined what we wanted. Bill suggested some materials to read and review pictures on some finer points and departed. We got back together a few weeks’ later and made decisions. Within a few weeks we were working on draft level drawings including to scale color simulations, etc. We could “see” what it would look like. Impressive. We made decisions and started. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the outcome; it has transformed our home, increased the value and provided countless hours of peaceful relaxation. We have since had Moore Design Builders back to redesign the front look of the house with bay windows, pillars and garage doors. Finally, a home office and the walk out basement “man cave” built with new windows, solid maple hardwoods doors and cabinets has established a place of respite throughout the year. The quality and caliber of Bill’s designs coupled with the excellent craftsmanship of his employee’s yields a tremendous product. We have recommended Moore Design Builders to our friends and family. You can’t go wrong with Moore Design Builders. Bill is a tenacious listener converting words and ideas into homes of pride and joy.
