At the time we engaged Belinda Mah the furniture and accessories in our home were tired and looking drab. We had attempted to update on a piecemeal basis for the last couple of years but frankly we were wasting time and money. We were initially very hesitant to engage an interior designer as we are not adventurous with colours and decor and we also did not wish to overspend on high end designer pieces. Practicality and comfort were also important to us. Belinda was the perfect choice. She spent time learning how we used particular spaces, what was important to us and what practical considerations we needed to take into account such as having small active grandchildren. While Belinda was able to source beautiful expensive pieces she would always say "Don't purchase these unless you really love them and they are a must have". Cost effective alternatives were always provided. She also utilised existing furniture pieces where possible. As important as these issues were to us, equally important was her ability to source furniture, artwork, accessories and other decorative items that are simply not available to retail customers. Wholesale trade prices are passed onto to clients which adds up to very significant savings meaning Belinda's very reasonable fees are pretty much negated. She also has contacts with various tradespeople should they be needed. Suffice to say we are thrilled with the final result. Belinda is also a pleasure to work with. She brings a positive friendly personality to what was at times Covid induced difficulties with some suppliers and we unconditionally recommend her services. Kaye & Peter Blakehurst

Belinda took on an interior redecoration of our place after it started to look tired. The brief was to do the main bedrooms, living area and laundry closet organisation. From the very beginning, Belinda was very professional and organised - which attracted me to engage her compared to others. She detailed her approach, budget split, timeline and a moodboard etc. in her proposal upfront - giving me the confidence to know what I was getting for my investment at the outset. Her strong project and budget management throughout the process also kept the work and spend on track. Her approach, while always professional, was also very flexible - managing to walk the fine line between sharing her professional expertise while taking on my practical concerns and feedback. The outcome? She did a fantastic job! And it was incredibly easy to work with her. She had keys to my place and was able to work with the contractors and set things up, so that a beautiful reveal would occur every few weeks without the muss and fuss interrupting our daily lives. We love our new look and have happily recommended Belinda to friends!

We engaged Belinda on a house renovation project, focusing specifically on our daughters bedrooms.
