Stillwater Construction

This project has not been completed I will write a full review at the completion of the project. Estimated completion date is July of 17 or sooner.

Stillwater Construction and Bart Mitchell should be your only choice as your project contractor. It goes without saying that Bart has all the generic attributes of a good contractor: quality work, organization, professional, etc. It is the unexpected that makes Bart the best. Bart Mitchell came along just in time for the rebuild of total fire burn down of our house. Immediately upon hire, he had the entire build organized in the "book" which detailed all aspects of the design, construction and schedules right down to the specific fixtures in the bathroom. Bart Mitchell also brings to the table a well developed sense of design that very few contractors have. Bart helped us make smart choices, not just more expensive choices. At no point during the building process did we not know everything that was going on regarding the construction and budget. On a regular basis, the subcontractors had daily schedules and notes posted thought the house providing them with information (we loved the notes and scheduled too!). Bart, is wonderful to work with. He is very professional and organized, and thoughtful. My company hired Bart to help us build 4 homes in Bend. Bart, does an excellent job in tracking and providing reports each month for us to help us stay on to of our Budget as the project progresses. We made some changes to the original design as things went along to refine spaces that looked ok on paper, but were felt could be improved once we saw them in the physical space. As a long time general contractor myself, I know changes like this can be challenging and perhaps even frustrating as it affects timing and schedule and momentum. Bart was extremely accommodating, and his positive attitude never wavered. Bart is a pros pro and I would highly recommend him to anyone who asked.

We hired Bart Mitchell of Stillwater Construction to help us with conversion of a small house to a vacation home. Bart was great to work with, listened to what we wanted, and made great suggestions. The work was done in another town from where we live and Bart did a great job of communicating with us about progress, keeping to the agreed upon schedule, and giving us acurate cost information. We give him our highest recommendation.

We hired Stillwater Construction to essentially gut and then completely remodel a small house for us. We tore out the bathroom down to studs and put it back together, removed a wall between kitchen and living area, insulated, resided, put in new plumbing and water heater and new ductless furnace. Stillwater oversaw all the work. We were out of town and only able to drop by about every 2 months or so, so we gave Bart the keys and put our complete faith in him. He did not let us down. He transformed a small, run-down Bend cottage to a lovely home with no real oversight from us. We didn't have a set-in-stone plan when we started, so he came up with lots of ideas, some we went with, some we didn't. But there was never any problem when, for whatever reason, we chose not to take his advice. In short, I unreservedly recommend him.

We used Bart with Stillwater Construction for several remodeling jobs and he did amazing work. He was always on time and left the job site clean and tidy. He adhered tot he budget we set and offered creative ideas. We are constantly being asked about the work he did and have referred him to several friends. He can do anything from renovate a bathroom to building a brand new home. My husband and I jokingly refer to him as "McGyver" as he seems able to handle anything. I would highly recommend Bart and Stillwater Construction to anyone for a job big or small.
