BCB does only the best quality work and aims to please the client. We had an extra space upon entry from our garage. I did not know what to do with it. Jon knew right away what to put there. He had his crew build a wall and made a first floor laundry/mudroom with built in bench and hooks. Not only is this functional for the space but it also has a modern and clean look. They did a beautiful job! Thank you Balbes Custom Builders!

I highly recommend working with Balbes Custom Builders. Jon was a top-notch communicator throughout the entire process. He was always available and returned calls promptly. We had a large renovation project which included demolishing the entire second story to optimize space, a full kitchen remodel and every part of the home was touched. He accommodated our desire to be hands-on making decisions while still keeping the project moving forward. He has a great staff and good relationships with trades which enabled us to stay on the timeline. He made our dream home a reality.

They live up to the "custom" in their name. On our project, we started with a well thought out renovation design. But as demolition completed and construction progressed we found certain areas and details where we wanted to revise or customize the plan. BCB was amenable to, and proved they were adept at handling, these custom changes that came up as the construction project progressed through various phases. They handled them fairly and executed them well. As a result our end product exceeded our expectations. They have a large stable of good teams in the various trades. The inevitable unforeseen problems were handled professionally. There have been a few minor warranty items that their team responded to and resolved quickly. We will continue to use them on future planned phases of this renovation.

We bought a lake cottage with a sinking foundation and turned it into a house. We tore half of it down and put up twice what came down. Jon fixed the foundation and did a spectacular job with the construction. He brought in excellent specialists and the attention to detail was first rate. There were people there every day and the job finished on schedule. We recommended him to friends who fired their first contractor and they were as happy as we were. I highly recommend him.

Jon Balbes is one of a kind!! We purchased an old home in Bloomfield Hills that needed a full gut remodel inside and out. We had no idea where to start. When we met Jon he made the whole process so easy. He was great to work with, his crews were all amazing at their trades. Jon was always around I could call him day or night and he would ALWAYS answer his phone. I can not tell you how many horror stories we have heard from our friends with their contractor. We had none! It was a seamless process because of Jon and his team. Even after the house was done Jon was still around anytime I had a question. We can honestly say that Jon is a friend now he is a great guy. Now we have the house of our dreams we couldn't be any happier!

After a frustrating experience with a previous builder, we hired Jon to help us with our 1,000 sq ft addition which included an extension to our kitchen, a family room and a first floor Master suite. Jon was easy to live with, attentive, professional and diligent. He drove our project forward by having highly skilled trades there nearly every day, including some Saturdays. He listened to our feedback when we had concerns and took action. We are delighted with the results and look forward to enjoying our new living space for years to come.

Jon was professional from start to finish. We took down a load bearing wall and non load bearing wall to open up more space in my living room and create more natural light. It was done quick and with quality. We also had them lay down wood flooring in place of carpet that was removed. We had staircase put in. Very nice wood with a pretty walnut stain. I will use Jon again when I remodel my kitchen and master bathroom.
