Richard Archer did a truly fabulous job of making my small apartment feel spacious and luxurious. He changed the internal structure and maximised all the good qualities. With clever use of mirrors he made the the apartment feel more spacious and the view look twice as great (and the nearby building less dominating). Now, every space has character and feels special! Richard listened to what I wanted and delivered. We love the miracle that has happened in transforming our home!

Our first task after purchasing this grand old Redfern terrace was to call Archer Design having seen what a miraculous job Richard and his team had done for our friend’s home in Paddington. In what seemed like no time at all Richard presented us with a design that was exactly what we were after: a layout that opened up this dark old terrace to bring in light and fresh air and one that had plenty of spaces for entertainment and modern family living. We just loved the blend of classic and modern design elements, and the layout was so functional and catered for our needs perfectly. The DA was quickly approved, and construction began with JMC Builders at the helm, providing a fantastic level of skill, working in seamlessly with Archer Design whose documentation of the architecture and interiors was amazingly thorough. We have loved living in this home and cannot recommend Richard and his Archer Design team highly enough.

Richard Archer and his team at Archer Design worked for us planning, managing and fitting out to the last detail the refurbishment of our harbourside apartment facing Elizabeth Bay, Sydney. We recommend this firm without reservation. The apartment needed a complete refit when we bought it for its stunning views over Sydney harbour mid-2016; Its French boudoir style interior and layout was tired and outdated. We rebuilt two UK properties concurrent with the work on the apartment so spent little time in Australia. We made just two visits for Richard Archer and his team to understand our requirements, all other exchanges were by phone and email. We selected Archer Design from references, their portfolio and proposed work plan comparing seven architects proposed by our buying agent. We could not have made a better choice. Archer Design took all worries away from us and exceeded our expectations. They dealt with the testing demands of the Strata and our immediate neighbours in a timely and comprehensive manner; assisted us in the selection of a peerless builder and imposed exacting standards throughout the construction process. Their attention to our tastes, the unity of the interior detail and design was flawless. They made the building project fun for us, shouldering all our concerns. Apart from selection of all furnishings and fittings, including bed linen, cutlery, glassware, crockery and utensils, they advised us on the purchase of local artworks, so we found a beautiful and complete apartment that makes the most of its location and aspect when we visited after completion in March 2018. We just wish we could spend more of our time in this great home. We should, without hesitation, instruct Archer Design again if we commissioned another building project in Australia or New Zealand.

I lived in the country whilst the renovations to the apartment were completed. The unit was gutted and took approximately 3 months to practical completion. During this time the architects and builder resolved problems arising with the SC in a very professional manner on my behalf. Jeremy, ( JMC builders/developers ) worked closely with all of us. The workmanship is superb. I haven’t moved in yet as furniture still has to be delivered and Archer Design will co-ordinate this with the building manager. Archer Design helped choose appropriate furnishings and I was happy to accept their expertise. The architects and builder worked with a demanding strata plan and their efforts have totally modernised the apartment. I would strongly recommend Archer Design

Richard Archer and his team produced an innovative and absolutely amazing design for my Darling Point apartment, incorporating phenomenal ideas to enhance the space and double the water/harbour views! These architects and designers are highly talented to say the least - the outcome they produced is highly admired by everyone who enters my home. The whole process was seamless, from concept to design to construction, and everyone in the firm was/is an absolute pleasure to deal with, making the project a pleasant and smooth experience. I also had them complete the interior design for the apartment with which they have transformed my home into a beautifully stunning space no one wants to leave. Archer Design took in to account my needs, selected pieces that flow and complement each other and look STUNNING!
