Melanie can be trusted in making decorator decisions. Our bathroom turned out great. The curtains were better than anticipated. We would not recommend a consulting relationship as that bred frustration.

Thank you very much Peter and Kim. Your master en-suite looks absolutely wonderful. An enjoyable place to unwind. I am pleased you found AAI to be helpful in choosing materials, finishes and fixtures. AAI was brought on the project by a local builder referral. Conseqently, AAI wasn’t hired to project manage or coordinate your renovation. Subsequently, as you experienced, it may have bred a bit of frustration with how the project was managed, some minor construction issues, timing etc. AAI was hired for consultative so unfortunately there was no control over those responsibilities. Full Service includes full project coordination, billing, budgeting and much, much more, in addition to personal or assisted shopping. Full service often eliminates issues that may arise in construction because we oversee the project from start to finish and handle any arising issues for you. Alleviating most of the stresses of construction for the client. All in all, it looks great! I am so glad you are happy with the decorative services AAI provided for you. The window treatments designed specifically for you look fabulous! Thank you for trusting in AAI. Enjoy it.

Iv'e been working with Melanie for many years on several projects. What I Love most about Melanie is her exitement and eye for detail. She always takes into consideration the needs of the project, but, makes sure that everything comes together to make the space feel inviting and fresh. Working in a similar industry, I've learned from Melanie new ideas, and appreciate what she brings to the table. I would have her help me in a heartbeat with my own personal projects ( as it's always more difficult to do our own ), and trust that she will guide and create a space I know I could live with for a long time!

My husband and I are in the middle of building a new house and are overwhelmed by all the choices we need to make -- we hired Melanie to help us sort through everything and make our new home beautiful. She has been with up every step of the way, from participating in kitchen design sessions to helping to pick out where to put outlets... and everything in between. She knows professionals in every trade, has a great sense of how to be smart with your money, and also how to narrow what seems like millions of choices down to a very manageable few. And, on top of that, she is helping us make beautiful choices. I'll update my review with pictures as the project progresses!

Simply moving around what I already owned was an easy start. Then she gave me simple guidelines and a list of where improvements would make the biggest difference. Melanie has been a great partner in helping to design and decorate a home I'm building. She has great contacts in the industry and has been patient and highly collaborative as we have looked at granite, tile, kitchen designs, etc. She takes time to understand her clients - asking probing questions - and as a result her selections and recommendations have matched what I was visualizing - but struggling to pull together. Melanie is a gifted designer and a true professional. We consulted with her about a bathroom tub that had been incorrectly installed -- a problem that several contractors had looked at without good ideas about how to fix it. Melanie gave us some great guidance on materials to use in our repair and referred us to a reliable contractor and tile and granite installers to help us. Melanie communicates clearly with great respect for her clients and takes her job very seriously. She is detail oriented while balancing current trends and the particular style of her clients.
