We hired Ali and her team to fix some bad interior design decisions that were made while I was pregnant. She came in with many great selections and I immediately felt comfortable with how the house would look afterwards. So many great fabrics, furniture selections, light fixtures, and area rugs. Unrelated to her, the project evolved from a few rooms to an entire house. She was easy to work with, professional, organized, and talented. We were so pleased with her work and the experience working her that we have added another phase to the project that she will be managing.

We really enjoyed working with Ali and her team. She understood our taste and what we were looking for, so we didn't waste a lot of time and money looking at furniture and styles we definitely wouldn't want. She's extremely detail oriented and thought of so many things that I never would have (e.g., precise placement of switches and nooks in shower). Ali responds promptly when you contact her, and is very direct--her answers are to the point and address what you asked. She is able to convey the anticipated consequences of a major decision well--for example, if we increase the scope of the project by adding this and this item, it means the schedule will be pushed out this far and that could affect this other item because of XX. The final result definitely reflects Ali's good taste and her ability to pull together a cohesive look that works in the space and suits how we live.

Alison has been terrific in helping me update my mediterranean house. We have worked together for a year and half on everything from improving my architectural plans to fully furnishing rooms down to the accessories. As others have noted, she is very talented, and has a distinct clean, organic, earthy style that I love. She is particularly good at mixing different textures and metals. The rooms that she has designed have a mixture of bronze, wood, glass and jute, plus she pulls great fabrics and rugs, making the whole house have dimension and cohesiveness. Our family is very happy with how our house has evolved. Alison has just created kitchen and bathrooms designs for phase two of our project. The spaces are updated for the modern family, but respectful of the architecture. Alison has consistently helped us make great choices for our home, and we can't wait to see the end product!

We hired Jute to design our new holiday home at the beach. They were a perfect fit for this project both stylistically and from a project management perspective. They were able to manage construction from afar, keep to a schedule, a budget as well as deliver a home we love. We are thrilled with the results and recommend them for anyone looking for a great designer.

interior design plan and partial remodel. came to the meetings organized and with ideas that were both visionary and practical. understanding of budget and assisted with identifying where the funds should be allocated in order to achieve our ideal look for the space. beautiful taste, very clean and sophisticated with a timeless sensibility. strength of this company is that there is a definite vision for the space and they do not like to derail from it. Extremely organized and communicative. Would definitely work with them again.

Alison at Jute Interior Design has a scarce commodity: true talent. She's highly experienced and knowledgeable about design rules and all the millions of details I would never have even thought of. But she has something most other designers don't - an immense amount of intuitive talent. Alison has an amazing internal design compass that never goes off course. Working with her to remodel and furnish my new house, she listened to me, inspired me and helped guide me to find my own style, creating an amazing space for me and my family that really reflects us. Guests always comments on how pulled together the house is and how relaxing it feels to be in the space. Thank you Alison!

Ali and Jute are the best. Ali pulled together a whole house interior design for me that came out comfortable, clean, warm, bright and just to my tastes, with a bit of remodel work wrapped in too, and its a fantastic result. She was great throughout, from initial consultation to review of examples to presenting options to order and install and addressing any concerns. Could not be happier.

Our project was ground-up construction and we inherited a set of plans that were not functional for our lifestyle. Ali instantly changed the plans to make all of our spaces useable for our young family. She helped me to articulate my style and brought out the best version of my taste. Her skills go beyond the scope of a typical interior designer and she was able to guide me through a very confusing construction process and give helpful advice throughout. We now live in the most beautiful home that I can imagine!

We hired Alison to help us with our home and she did a nice job. Her best work was with our kitchen. We are very happy with the kitchen remodel, and particularly the lighting she chose for our living room.

Alison has impecable taste! She has been able to transform my very small Mill Valley house into a beautiful, comfortable and kid friendly home. To work within my tight budget, we went room by room and are hoping to complete the transformation by the end of this year. She was able to take my tastes, refine them and make our furniture work better for us and add essential pieces that will stand the test of time. Every morning that I wake up, I love what I see.

Ali has been amazing to work with. She's flexible, knowledgeable, and has a creative spirit. Within five seconds, she can assess a room's strengths and weaknesses and figure out creative solutions. She takes the time to get to know your style, and is willing to find novel solutions to keep you on budget. Love working with her and will continue to do so.
