ABHR_A is a small architecture practice specialising in contemporary extensions, refurbishments and new build homes in and around London. Alex and Helen set up their own practise in 2015 after having established a combined 20 years of experience at award-winning and world-renowned architectural firms previously. They are passionate about producing original solutions and take a fresh and flexible approach to practice, adapting their role to suit your needs. They are well known for extracting the best out of each project and listening to your needs and ideas, and care about your time and money. They will work within these parameters to find the most appropriate proposal for every context. They take a visual approach to discussing your designs by using the latest in computer visualisations to truly bring you through the design journey. Alex is approachable and his attention to detail ensures each project is beautifully crafted. Helen is organised and clear in her communication. Her management skills ensure she extracts the best out of each project.

We have been collaborating with ABHR_A for the last 18 months on various projects. Alex and Helen are experienced Architects. Their diverse skill sets complement each other very well, and they are able to offer a comprehensive and well rounded package. They both care a great deal about delivering thoughtful and stimulating designs, which are always unique to the specific client and project. They will always go the extra mile to make sure that your project is a success. We would definitely recommend ABHR_A for any new project.

Alex and Helen helped us with a renovation project, and we really enjoyed working with them. Their biggest expertise is in architecture and interior design, and we are very happy with the project they designed for us. They understood our requirements very well, suggested great materials and color palette. We almost never needed to change design decisions that they made, and we felt that we could trust their taste. Even though the original project they designed was above our budget, they suggested a list of adjustments that could decrease the price, which we discussed and implemented. We are pretty happy with our communication with them. They have been preparing detailed reports after every visit to the site, keeping track of raised issues and work valuation. If we were to start another project anytime soon, we would definitely seek their services again.

ABHR_A have been excellent to work with on our rear extension. They listened carefully to our brief, delivered exciting and innovative ideas and have managed the process perfectly on our behalf. The build starts shortly and they will be with us throughout overseeing the project. Alex and Helen make a great team, they are professional, creative, highly efficient and I would strongly recommend them.

ABHR_A was recommended to us by a friend, and we've been delighted with the results. We asked them to help us work on a garage conversion and roof replacement - we live in a conservation area with very specific planning rules. They helped us consider ideas and ways that we could transform the space. Alex was very thorough in his work, and communicated regular updates to us. Highly recommend ABHR_A - we'll definitely use them again.

I'm currently working with ABHRA on a residential project in London and I'd recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their home. They are incredibly professional, not only their drawings are some of the most precise I saw out there, but they also act impeccably when it comes to contract administration.

PAVZO Photography and Film

I had the chance to work on this project both filming and shooting the newly designed property in Wimbledon. The interior is a high end quality and very bright and spacious. Was a pleasure shooting the photos and the video and I also believe the result speaks for itself. Looking forward to working with ABHR_A team again in the near future. We used Alex and Helen from ABHR_A when we wanted to redesign our flat. We were looking to extend the kitchen and bathroom and make much better use of the space we have. Both Alex and Helen were excellent to work with. They are extremely talented architects with backgrounds at high end firms and their experience showed. They were able to help us by suggesting ideas, explaining what would and wouldn’t work, and how best to do things. The final product is amazing and the space is so big and well thought out. They designed a series of built in cupboards and shelves which look fantastic and really complete the design. We are extremely pleased with the outcome. Alex and Helen were great to work with, really understood what we were trying to do and helped us hugely with our project. Their drawings were excellent, so much so that our builder commented that they were the best he’d ever had for a residential project and made his life much easier! We would throughly recommend them.

London Dream Building

Alex and Helen are incredibly talented architects. We collaborated on a recent project together and we were impressed by the standard of their work. Communication was excellent. They provided solutions during critical stages of the construction phase promptly and efficiently. From a contractor's point of view, we were truly impressed how comprehensive and helpful the drawing package was.Thank you very much for the amazing job. We believe this is the start of an excellent relationship.
