Alaglas Swimming Pools

I gave one star because I had no choice. We have been dealing with the company for over two years, since installation. It’s crooked, cement should have been stamped and colored. Tilts towards house so water pools and sits. Installers placed nail or screw near railing so now it’s cracked. Pool was emptied three times for fiberglass repairs and water found under fiberglass. Cut hole in pool tried to drain underground water for days. They couldn’t get all out and patched anyway without adding a release pump for hydrostatic pressure, which should have originally been installed when digging the hole to set. Now pool is five more inches off kilter. Dirt was allowed to sit in empty pool until we noticed pool was bulging. We were told to fill immediately and since pool is stained from dirt collected while fixing and drying. Now they are claiming we neglected to properly regulate water and now whole pool is stained. You can see where the dirt stained and the path it followed to the filter while we tried to fill it and regulate it again (3rd time), at a cost over 200.00. No one will come to clean and no pump to be installed. Craig Stephen’s is CEO and no customer relations from him throughout ordeal. We are 67 and 68 years old, this is our forever home. We are being taken advantage of and abused by this company! Do not do business with them. Not reputable, no customer service, no acceptance of responsibility.

Do not use this company. The installation process took forever and was never actually finished to our satisfaction. Customer service is nonexistent. Every time you call someone new answers the phone and all you get is the run-around.

Definitely do NOT go with this company. Signed a contract and gave them $14k deposit in March. 2021. They were unable to install pool until July due to “back logged installations”. We patiently waited. In late June of 2021 - we were called by sales rep that due to increase of costs, we owed them another $9k- REGARDLESS of the fact we had a signed contract. Loophole on back of contract. The prices of contract are only good for 60 days- even though they could not honor that installation time. We negotiated with the owner- women, please do not even try to talk to owner. He only responds to men- had a new install date. 7/9/21. On 7/7 we were called once again to tell us our pool would be delayed another 4-6 weeks. They did not apply for permit until 7/2/21. DESPITE HAVING OUR MONEY & SIGNED CONTRACT. They waited until last minute. The only decent part about this company is that we got our full deposit back. We had help from an attorney. DO NOT USE ALAGLAS

We had a crack that happened on December 3rd 2020. The pool was installed 15years ago. I called Alaglass pools to let them know that a crack had happened and they have a fifty year warranty. At least that is what you are told by a contract and when you purchase a pool. Which we have the original contract. I was told to send a picture in which I did. Than I was told the owner would be in contact with me. That did not happen. I was also told by Britney that I was on the list to be fixed. Then I was told by Haley that we were on the list to be fixed. Many calls later got in touch with a Michelle who said that we were definitely on the list it is now March. Then I was told by Britney that the weather had to be above 60° for more than four hours before they could send someone out to repair the pool. Seven months later was told by staff that Alaglass Pools have come to new ownership in the last two years. They were not going to be responsible for fixing my pool or any pool that was installed by original owners. I had to send an email to the original owners warranty department and I still have not heard anything. Beware there’s no such thing as a 50 year warranty they are not honoring it. (olympian pool)

Extremely disappointed with company, started out satisfied with my pool but at the three year mark it had begin to crack. Definitely not expecting that after investing 40,000 into a pool. My pool is under warranty, but this company continues to give me the runaround. I have connected this company numerous times for a few months now and no results. I would not recommend this company if this is how they treat customers.

Looking for the BEST pool company? I decided to go with this company due to to having a 50 year warranty. Trust me! I do my research! Call Andy at Alaglas Pools in St. Matthews. Fiberglass is the way to go. Do not waste your time with any other pool company. Andrew Yingling is the most educated Sales Representative, reliable, honest and certainly stands above the rest. With going with the Alaglas manufacturer in St. Matthews, I saved almost 10k vs my estimate from a local dealer. Andrew, thank you for helping us feel at ease and making this entire process complete. Even though they couldn’t help the weather delays, we still had our pool finished within 30 days. Andrew, you pay close attention to detail, extreme knowledge and passion really helped us build our dream pool. I would highly recommend Andy at this company. You well exceeded our expectations and we are forever grateful. ~Cw

These guys are awesome! Everyone from the sales rep (Andy Y.) to the office staff (Janie) are incredible. Having never owned a pool before, they were wonderful to deal with! I highly recommend them! Thanks!

Incomplete pool and fire pit installation We signed a contract for a pool, firepit and concrete decking. At the time of signing Andrew Yingling, Sales Representative, indicated the construction time would be approximately 7 working days. Construction began on November 8, 2018 and as of writing this complaint it as been 65 days. Current outstanding issues that still have not been completed and have been communicated to the Alaglas Logistics Manger, Janie Moreno: 1. Pool filter backwash pipes have been incorrectly installed to the deck drains. When a backwash was attempted by an Alaglas employee the backwash water flows out the deck drain and back into the pool. 2. The fire pit is not complete. I have provided pool company president, logistics manager and contractor the manufacture installation instructions and safety guidelines. The contractor, E and J Concrete, has not ever installed a gas fire pit and has no knowledge of the installation and safety requirements outlined by the manufacturer. The Alaglas contractor is attempting to install the fire pit with inadequate cross ventilation and restricting access to the gas shut off valve. 3. One end of the deck drain has yet to be properly run and buried. 4. Aqua sprayers do not spray evenly. Several streams are spraying in a abnormal and undesirable direction. 5. Umbrella sleeves need to have the edges and masking tape removed. There is currently overlapping concrete on top of the sleeves. 6. At the time of writing this Alaglas has no plans to clean the pool further and get water chemicals balanced correctly. Currently the pool water is murky and cloudy with dirt and clay. The pool water visibility is approximately one foot.

Sales and installation were great. Wonderful job for something so complex. You can tell they have been doing this for years and have the system down pat. We had no problems at all and the pool has been great.
