We had the pleasure to work with Kate on our renovation work, extension and loft conversion. I had very set ideas on what I wanted, so needed someone who wouldn’t try and impose their ideas onto me but would offer guidance and support. Kate fulfilled this role perfectly! She listened to me, offered some suggestions, helped me overcome any problems and then produced plans for exactly what I had in mind. Kate is very professional and approachable, and the whole procedure went extremely smoothly. We now have a beautiful home which is exactly as I envisaged. Having recently had a valuation done, we are delighted to have recouped all the money spent on the work. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Absolute Architecture.

Having met with several other architects, we decided to engage with Kate at Absolute Architecture because we instantly felt at ease with her, we were impressed with the design options she offered up at the initial consultation, as well as her evident detailed knowledge of the local building trade. As part of the Design Phase, Kate produced numerous design options, allowing us to fully explore many different ideas within our brief. She teamed this with high level costs, enabling us at the very early stage to rule out certain design options. We are very happy with the final plans as well as the 3D images of the outside of the building which are beautifully designed. We are incredibly excited to enter into the next phase of the project with Kate and Absolute Architecture.

Kate Cooper at Absolute helped us turn our half-formed ideas about what we wanted from our house extension into something really spectacular. Their creative vision was spot on — and their assistance with sourcing a building firm (who were also excellent) and project management meant the whole build was smooth, stress-free and (nearly!) finishes on time. A far cry from other experiences we’ve had on builds.

We contacted Kate, Absolute Architecture in 2013 as we were undecided as to whether to totally reconfigure our existing home or demolish it and start afresh. From our initial meeting Kate was knowledgeable and practical in her approach to our dilemma and we took the decision to new build. It was extremely important to us that the new build, whilst meeting our accommodation needs should also be in keeping with its environment and our budget. Kate offered several different design options and we opted for a linear building which we felt suited the site. The building construction and materials suggested by Kate has ensured the building has blended well into its environment and offers us a comfortable, practical, energy efficient home which we continue to be delighted with and we would not hesitate in recommending the services of Absolute Architecture.

We had decided the time was right to find the long term family home; a place with some character and period features that we could transform to suit 21st century living. With such a large decision at stake, Kate Cooper’s advice while we searched for the ideal property was invaluable; she was able to describe the full potential of properties as well as provide rough costings. Together we identified the perfect house which had the potential to really suit the way we wanted to live. After a few meetings to discuss ideas for how we might use the space, Kate drew up some great options to improve the property, ranging from minor work to more radical designs. This coupled with her interior design skills meant we could visualise the finished product, tailored to our specific budget. We would never have imagined the final design we chose, which was able to really open and modernised the living space while retaining the character features. Their attention to detail was excellent, Absolute Architecture are very professional and always went the extra mile on our project.

Absolute Architecture was a joy to work with. Kate Cooper and her team worked with a tiny, decrepit home, large garden and stables from 1908 and turned the property into a show piece. They were sympathetic to the original design and area while making the home user friendly and comfortable for contemporary residents. They were knowledgeable about the many local laws and guidelines and used the best local craftsmen for the renovation and addition, all in a timely, warm manner. We are so proud of our lovely home; it came out truly beautiful. Thank you Kate!

Ha commentato: Hi - we love the terrace, is this porcelain? ThanksThis is natural limestone. Wychwood etched from Artisans of Devizes. We’ve used Porcelain on lots of projects and it’s a good alternative.
