Patio Doors,sliding, gliding, swinging, folding
To improve the family room's indoor-outdoor flow, the designers added a Jeld-Wen sliding door; each central panel slides to the side, creating a 6-foot-wide opening. The door's understated muntins straddle the line between contemporary and traditional, and pay homage to the home's original window design.
The grille pattern is called prairie, sometimes called marginal, we just call it lovely. Also, do you notice the swing of the doors? These are two sets of doors with center hinges, often times people choose a center hinge when they don't need the second door active OR if they need to put furniture in that space but without blocking the view. This also makes the room feel centered and symmetrical. I also like how they chose to raise the height of the handle sets as a safety feature, keeping little ones from easily running outside to the water.
The Mai doors are always a dream.
we love installing bifold doors
pocket doors staying partly open lends a great architectural gateway into the real view. I love how these are two different style doors in different color palettes, yet they mix so perfectly. Makes me want to take a risk on a door style I didn't think I could pull off!
I love the subtle way the Tuscany handles have that arch, I feel like it goes an extra mile.
stop it already, just stop with the features and the incredible views.
though I'd be a bit nervous about neighborhood pets sneaking in, I can't help but love how they placed their functional windows so far low to prevent sight lines from being interruptered.
What a great door, need your own sneak peak view into a wine cellar?
folding doors and skylights, typical Wednesday installation for us.
Skylights don't have to be a rectangle.
Love the dark frame, would match the on-trend window styles!
If you're someone that wants to take advantage of skylights, but still have shade on demand, we have options for you!
Velux Skylights bring the bright into your lighting.
What a beautiful transom!
This configuration is a 'zero post system.' and involves two sections of folding or accordian style doors. This look can also be achieved with sliding and stacking doors or sliding and pocketing doors.
