Wish List
I don't know if I'd like this to be in the master, but I love love love this bed frame and headboard. Just love the color variation and the heartiness and that it's natural. Love the light coming into the room from outside and the floor to ceiling windows. That the wooden beams accent the room and give differentiation of depth and texture
I would like this room better if the ceiling was white washed and distressed a bit rather than so dark. Feels too confining. BUT - I love the color scheme. I like that mirror too. Not over the bed, but in a hallway or main area, entrance area. I like the stones, marble, greys and whites and bringing in the darker wood accents. Love those lights, but they are a bit big. I like that they are wrought iron, look like vines - gives natural look
I would love to have this room - for myself. does that sound bad?! It's a woman's dream to me. The colors are feminine - strong, peaceful, organized. The lighting is beautiful to me, like fairies overhead. I like the grey with wood with cream and the different natural colors and textures using elements of nature (wood, stone). I LOVE the doors! I'd love to have sliding barn doors in my house! And, I've always wanted a sitting are in my bedroom. Was on my wishlist but new house doesn't have designated, so hoping to create it somehow.
This room feels good to me. Here's why: wooden floors. Love them. Carpet feels nice upon waking, but wood feels natural and is cooler in a warmer climate. I love the darker leather mixed with the white. The natural light is good too. I think a bedroom needs to maximize natural light, be dark enough to fade into sleep, but be cheerful. I hate to wake up and so a cheerful waking is needed, and the natural light, the lighter parts of this room, the sitting area that beckons (come sit for a while, no rush, breath deeply) appeals to me since I'm dealing with bouts of anxiety.
I am a sucker for positive words of declaration and have loved that it's caught on everywhere. We decorated our cafe with these kinds of signs and I truly believe their positiveness impacted everyone in there. I need these words hanging on walls in art form - My preference is to just have a couple of these straight forward types but also to integrate some with florals and swirly lettering and just different styles and looks, but basic concept of positive words "speaking" to the people in the house is important to me
