construction details 5/9
I like these stairs
brownish stucco walls
Not bad.... although it doesn't look like it has that really crisp knife edge that I like so much
Front entry wall. I like the stucco color.... ice contrast with lighter concrete
Built in grill, stucco color is pretty.
Railing
I like this knife edge. Black front face is interesting ...we could use the glass waterline tile on the top edge of the infinity edge, but put a darker tile on the front face
I don't like this.... if the glass tile wraps the edge then I want it to go all the way down...I don't like when it abuts concrete
Invisible tile on the infinity edge...I like it
YUCK! I don't like the cap on top... too dark, breaks the line (and stone facade is too orange, but that's another problem!)
I like the infinity edge here..... no visible cap, which allows the water to merge with the horizon (this is our friends' house...it's beautiful in person!)
We want the concrete to be this color....can we check with Cody on what this was?
Unbroken visual line at infinity edge
I really like the top of this infinity edge... unbroken line since it is the same color as the pool plaster
I like this waterline tile... neutral, little color variation. Stucco color is nice
I DON'T like this infinity edge....the cap breaks the cleanliness of the infinity edge
Cable railing
Cable railing
Cable railing, with wood top railing
Stacked stone (also like Orinda.... minimal color variation and very rectangular and contemporary lines)
Invisible railing
Underside of deck finished (do this on overhang above driveway since it's so visible underneath?). We don't necessarily need lighting, just a finished deck (although I would eliminate the metal on the side)
Invisible glass railing
Favorite deer fence...lightest post possible! Also like our neighbors' across the street
Favorite waterline tile....neutral greys, don't like color variation/checkerboard or too much color
