This 3/4 bathroom was designed to be a statement for guests who come to the home. A bright red glass vessel sink with a bronze spout faucet sit on top of a vintage furniture piece that was modified to house the plumbing. The tiles are a brick red color in a hexagon shape on the floor, and vertical rectangle in the shower. The shower pan is a black pebble to tie in the earthy elements of this room. The backsplash is a black glass mosaic tile with its mirror inlaid into it, the tiles act as a frame around the mirror. Two decorative glass pendant lights were hung for an added statement. Example of a mid-sized southwest 3/4 multicolored tile and glass sheet ceramic tile alcove shower design in Denver with furniture-like cabinets, distressed cabinets, a two-piece toilet, beige walls and a vessel sink
The deck boards are Fiberon – a product made from recycled materials that requires very little upkeep. The Castle Gray boards have a beautiful woodgrain pattern that coordinates perfectly with the natural stone planters flanking the deck. The carefully planned planters allowed us to eliminate most of the railings and created the wide, open feel the homeowners wanted.
A custom tempered glass enclosure and skylight give the shower an open feel and allow the marble tiles to stand out. “I always tell clients it’s important to specify getting the clearest glass possible,” Myers says. “Every fabricator has different names for what they have, but you want to avoid glass with a green tint. It can distract from the space.” A large niche holds shower products. “I really like to be generous with shower niches,” Myers says. “Especially in a master bathroom, where you are likely to have two different types of shampoos and other products.”
36”x 36” porcelain tile made to look like Carrara marble photographs of each tile, put them in photo-editing software and rotated them around to get the right pattern. Then I labeled each tile and noted how to orient it,” she says. The result is a seamless look. bathroom floor, 12-by-24-inch dark gray porcelain tile. “I continued the same tile onto the shower floor because this is a smaller washroom,” she says. Using a different tile on the shower floor would have chopped up the space and made it feel smaller. The wall on the right side of the shower stall had to become the plumbing wall — there was too much going on behind the wall on the left, and the back wall is an exterior wall, where pipes might freeze in the winter. Because of these circumstances and the location of the existing toilet stack, Khuong had to install the shower controls in a way that requires entering the shower to turn on the water. This could have meant many cold awakenings from unheated water if not properly addressed. Thermal controls within reach from outside the shower stall are one possible way to avoid a bracing blast of cold water. But in this case it would have been a budget-buster that wasn’t worth...

My bathroom is even smaller -- only 5’ x 7’. I also removed the tub. My vanity is only 24“ wide. We removed a window when we did an addition behind that room and use that space as built-in shelves (behind the door). I regret that I didn’t tile up to the ceiling or at least continue the wall paint on the ceiling. What an elegant, pleasing, functional renovation of this small bathroom. I especially like the use of sliding glass panel in place of a door.
Designer tip. “We specified a sleek glass panel door that swings in as a space saver,” Henderson says. “To make the space look larger, we specified a wall-mount vanity. Creating an open space below the bathroom cabinets allows for light to move throughout the bathroom. We associate that light with more room in the space we are in.” 5x8 40 sq ft

Size: 45 square feet (4.2 square meters); enlarged from 35 square feet (3.3 square meters)Designer: Projekt Home Stewart limited his palette to three primary materials — wood, white tile and beige tile — to maintain the contemporary, pared-down look he and the homeowners wanted. Wood and textured warm neutrals prevent the bathroom from appearing too stark and also appeal to the homeowners’ traditional tastes. All the tile is 12x24 porcelain; the wall tiles are a textured gray and the floor tiles are a mosaic white. For tile in high-traffic areas, Stewart recommends porcelain because of its strength and the way the color runs all the way through. If the tile chips, you’ll notice it less. Increased footprint by 10 square feet by bumping out two of the shower walls. New shower is 59 inches long and 37 inches wide. “You don’t hit the walls,” the designer adds. It also includes a bench )'women shave their legs while showering' plus the fact there is an elderly mother that would prefer to sit while soaping herself when visiting - a drain beneath, a built-in niche and an architectural shower head. Glass shower width (length) is 42". (I also wonder about mildew under that bench- fl...

measurements for medicine cabinets and vanities. A medicine cabinet above a vanity should be the same width as the vanity or slightly smaller — never larger. Recessing a medicine cabinet into the wall will give your bathroom a more streamlined look. The right length for a vanity countertop depends on the size of the room. For a family bathroom or en suite, 36 inches is considered a standard minimum length, but 48 inches is a little more practical. A double sink will need a countertop that’s at least 60 to 72 inches long. The ideal depth for a vanity is 21 inches, although it will depend on the depth of your sink. If you have a semirecessed sink, you may be able to make your vanity less than 21 inches deep. When specifying your vanity depth, make sure you include enough room so that you can clean the sink and faucets.
Similar to Copper Canyon- see other pics,….The roughly 8-by-5-foot bathroom before the renovation. Restricted to working within the footprint and not touching any windows. We also needed to keep the toilet in the existing location, and we had to keep the hall door entrance to this bathroom,” Haddad says. The toilet stayed in its original spot, as did the windows and hallway door. A new built-in cabinet shields the toilet and holds toilet paper and other essentials. Discussion to close the hall door and add a sink there. The expanded bathroom allowed for a larger shower and a freestanding soaking tub. “They did end up choosing a tub made of cast iron (which they had painted white) to feel more authentic to the home. The new shower nestles into the corner near the tub, next to the gambrel roof.

Bathroom: The new top hung doors have no track on the bottom to clean. Treat the glass with RainX every so often - spray/rinse down the entire shower enclosure each time you use it and then use a squeegee to wipe down the glass They get cleaned with vinegar and water once a week—that’s it. lizrob, I use a Karcher window vacuum on my glass shower enclosure each day and find it much easier to keep clean than tiles with grouting. Once a week/fortnight I use methylated spirits heavily diluted in water from a spray bottle with micro-fibre cloths for rubbing. Toothpaste is an excellent cleaner for hard to remove stains. Never use soap in my shower, only non-soap skin products. Electric toothbrush outlet INSIDE the medicine cabinet or inside of a tower niche. I don't know why anyone wouldn't think about this common item & keeping the darn cord & contraption out of site. I prefer hooks to hang towels and bath robes over having a rod. It's just easier and no straightening that towel anymore ! Plus you can usually fit a hook for each person's use, in a bathroom. I appreciate the use of the same tile on the floor as the walls to unify the space/view...especially wanting it to appear more open...
