Landscape Ideas
I'm trying to incorporate wood as the third color. So our back bedroom porch and front porch will be brown, as will the risers for the exterior stairs on the front and side of the house. I would love to figure out a front door that has this wood color. But you'll see we have a teal color there that I picked out ten years ago that I really like as well.
There is no way Glen Echo would allow this but I thought it was very clever.
We had built two garden boxes in our yard before the construction that have since been wiped out. It's not a huge priority but it would be fun to figure out a place for the kids to plant something every summer.
OMG these tiger lillies and the pathway.
I love this so so so much
I have no idea if we can afford a stone wall but I love the idea of it.
Boulders and flowers
Purple flowers
If you sub'd out the hardscape for grass, this is pretty close to what I want.
Our yard isn't this big, but this is the idea
This was the photo from Southern Living I refered to in our call. I liked the idea of a wall and two doors. In a perfect world, we would have some kind of super fun fountain like this...but I am super nervous about water features. I've got to believe they are a pain to clean, wonder if they are worth the money and if they would keep working for years to come or in the winter.
