E. Overlook ideas
We like the feeling of this bathroom - warm, soft, peaceful. Like the hex pattern on floor and wall of large tile with shelf by tub. The wood-tone floating vanity warms the room nicely. We generally dislike vessel sinks, though we can see how it helps balance out the streamlined vanity - an undermount might feel more sterile.
Cute, simple pendant for bathroom or other areas, possibly in a row of 2-3
More windows...
We're leaning away from shaker cabinets but these look pretty nice. Black frame windows similar to ours though the grids only on top seem a little odd.
Was looking at this light pewter cabinet color as a "not all white and not colorful but not too gray" option, maybe to go with a more colorful tile backsplash and some warmer wood elsewhere (e.g. island)
Was just looking at these gridless 3-pane doors, probably not the right style for our kitchen extension
Marc was trying to convince himself this was kind of transitional but guess it's just modern. :) Generally like this aesthetic though it's a bit on the formal side for us
We generally like walnut though we'd probably flip this with painted cabinets and the island in walnut (this is a bit heavy on the wood). Skinny shaker doors could be a good alternative to generic shaker or flat front. Definite pass on the crown molding.
This island looks similar in size to the proposed one. We don’t need/want full seating at the island so a wine fridge could be a good use of the space? We’re also thinking wood island with painted cabinets (this is a bit too much wood with all the lowers)
Virginia really likes these Poulsen pendants - they come in different shades/sizes
We really like Louis Poulsen lighting - these are nice for simple globe pendants
[OFFICE] A bit too much going on here (we would never hang this much wall art) but like the MCM vibe
[OFFICE] FYI we have this Herman Miller media cabinet in our condo and really like the desk as well
[OFFICE] generally like the idea of built-ins, though this is a bit much (we wouldn’t have enough stuff to put in them). Freestanding desk doesn’t work as Marc has too much wired equipment.
[OFFICE] This is very cozy and we like the texture of the wallpaper, pop of cabinet color
We like the black grid windows, skinny shaker cabinets (though probably not in this wood), varied cabinet hardware. Like that the island is just storage (no seating) but it’s too small and we don’t like the marble/waterfall. Ceiling has some interesting detail. Just a little bit of decorative open shelving is fine (we’ll still need some uppers), don’t like the square backsplash tiles
We prefer small recessed spot lights like these to the standard cans (Ignore the rest of the kitchen ?)
We have a set of 3 multi-color Eames Hang-it-alls that we love! They're so practical - could keep them in the mudroom above the bench.
Like the soft and clean color scheme, hex floor tiles, herringbone tile pattern (although not in glass), undermount sinks, separate mirrors. Not a fan of this mirror style or sconces.
Cute idea to use inset storage for dog leashes, umbrellas, etc.
Interesting laundry/storage layout. Like the doors (not color) but not sure it would match our house.
Simple, clean, quite nice. We're undecided on lighting fixtures in general, but these seem ok.
Just FYI, we don't like shiplap or an all white/black kitchen
We like the stack bond tiles (maybe not this much of it though)
Mudroom: We like a simple bench, hooks, and some kind of upper cabinet organization (although not necessarily any of these particular options). We don't like the chunky built-in locker/cubby systems. Fun tile would be nice!
The wallpaper takes it over the top but we do like this tile pattern!
This totally doesn't match our house but we really like these doors...
This is really cute and cheerful! Like the peach tile against wood tones, dark framed windows, clean lines. Practically we would want more closed/upper cabinets (we had open shelving once and were always blowing dog hair off our plates)
This bath has a bunch of elements we like - the style of freestanding tub, tiled wall around the picture window with a little ledge, recessed wall shelf. We'll likely do a more cheerful color and simpler lighting
Light and bright! The maple wood and white cabinetry/island mixture is nice. Cabinet door finishes look luxurious. We don't really care to have a matching hood - stainless steel is fine. Interesting idea to put decorative open shelving above sink and in front of window - not sure if that would work for our home.
We like this pattern!
Fun tile! Overall look maybe a bit too west coast vibe for our house
Not a fan of butcher block countertop. Some exposed beams in the ceiling are ok but this is a bit too exposed.
Just for reference, this is a tile/aesthetic we really like and are planning to use in our (very MCM) condo master bath
Like the 3-pane sliding doors to connect the kitchen to the outdoors
Different layout from current proposal, but we like the colorful breakfast area and fun accents. Generally like light, airy and cheerful
This kitchen has a lot of nice elements - good outdoor view, black-framed windows, lots of handy storage - and the transitional style could work
Generally don't like cabinets over vanities but this is neat! A dedicated drawer w/power outlet for a hair dryer is good to have
This is probably as traditional as we'd want, probably want to go a bit more modern
mudroom/entry idea - hanging rod for everyday jackets instead of an enclosed closet?
