Landy Landscape Design
JH: go a light porcelain tile for both decks? There's so much wood on the house as it is, maybe we go lighter? LL: Concerned porcelain would get too slick. And lighter would be dirty looking all the time?
JH: importance of exterior / outdoor lighting and overhead coverage. LL: Beautiful lighting and cover.
JH: feedback wanted on - how does a tile / paver surface feel for one of the outdoor rooms... versus decking. LL: We like it.
JH: layout and format vibe
JH: vibe / asethetic. LL: like it but not sure how it fits in.
JH: confluence of materials here - kinda neat to see the herringbone pattern juxtaposed. LL: The patterns and colours together are a bit too much for us.
JH: are you a fan of red :). LL: Yes as a highlight, but probably not my first choice highlight colour.
JH: overall vibe. LL: We'd want around the house to feel a bit more wild.
JH: Zen Wall / Belgard product (possible wall / retainment / steps material). LL: We like formed concrete more than bricks.
JH: curious if this colour combo feels right for you guys / ie: do we prefer a "cedar" or wood feel on decks OR do you want one/both of them to be a different surface (tile / stone / etc).. LL: I really like this look and don't need a wood feel on decks. But it has to be something that can be power washed and something that doesn't get crazy slick.
JH: overall vibe
JH: Trex / Composite Deck surface
JH: Dekko Concrete Sonoma Fire Pit 72"
JH: Composite Costco Adirondack Chairs for around fire pit area
JH: Article Teaka Dining Chair. LL: Pic came out blurry so hard to see.
JH: Article side table/stool
JH: Article Stool / side table. LL: Not sure we want more wood accents against the wood house
JH: Article Outdoor Dining Table. LL: This is ok. Better than the other one.
JH: Article Outdoor Dining Table. LL: Too farm-housey
JH: West Elm U shape sectional. LL: This would be awesome but would have to be fully covered because we're terrible at taking care of our outdoor stuff.
JH: outdoor sectional / U shape. LL: Love this one!
JH: Love the IKEA Havsten Series for amazing value / comfort. LL: Could work. Prefer the stuff without armrests.
JH: Toja Grid system also provides hammock option. LL: Feels kinda bulky for a hammock area but worth discussing for sure.
JH: Toja Grid System. LL: Interesting
JH: Toja Grid Pergola System (affordable kit for pergola areas needing shade) available in 4"x4" or 6x6" post dimensions with a variety of sizing / layouts to format with. LL: Interesting
JH: Techo Bloc - Westmount Paver in herringbone pattern. LL: I love herringbone but Ryan doesn't.
JH: Techo Bloc Paver options colours
JH: IPE / Kayu (hardwood) decking - non-maintenance surface option. Interesting, but not sure I want a deck that even looks like wood. Feels like a lot of wood.
JH: Aristokrat Porcelain Tile - Colour: BlueStone (2'x3' dimension). LL: Concerned about price and slipperiness.
JH: possible flex coverage pergola concept for over dining or living room area. LL: Very interested
I don't particularly like this - only pinning to say that I like how much lounge seating there is. I'd like U-shaped lounge seating around a fire table that actually puts off a bit of heat.
I like the dark and wood combo, although the seating area looks a bit stark and uncomfortable
I like the greenery around the seating area
I like the lighting and the coziness
I like the idea of lit stairs/pathways
Cool tiered deck
I like the warmth
Like how organic this looks
Cozy
Beautiful fall colors
The brick and furniture aren't our style but i like the layers
If we were to have a covered area the idea of hanging plants is interesting
Fun idea to put along the fence - Ryan not a fan tho
