Madelaine: Really trying to get away from all the north van evergreen needle trees. Plus - both kids seem to be allergic to cedar and hemlock. Ian: agree I’m not big on this tree but I would like a couple of evergreens ideally to give year round green. Agree no cedar or hemlock or fir but some conifers/pine are nice, especially ones that don’t get too large. You’ve selected a couple of nice ones. Think Oregon! Or Japan.
Yes, nice colours and different
Love it
Not a big fan. Smelly
Like the really bright green ferns and tropical plants
Not as much but could be nice in limited amounts
Love succulents!
This is nice - like the boulder, blue algae grass, colour palette
Don’t live yarrow or yellow
Love this, especially near rocks, boulder, concrete. Can we make sire to have atleast one boulder?
This is nice
Really like the repetition images you’ve included. More so than mass planting. For our house.
LG: Metal address sign
LG: recessed lighting unit.
LG: Concrete steps and strip lighitng
LG: flush step lighting recessed into wall. MD: yes please
LG: vertical slatted fence. Love how popped the lush leaves look against the fence.
LG: Wire and metal railing for basement access wall. Matching gun metal to gate and window
LG: liking the panel style spaced board look. This could be nicely replicated through the fence to to create a seamless look.
LG: Horizontal slatted board fence with metal rim. Like the idea of the metal rim being added at choice points for added interest.
ID: warm fence and gnarly tree
LG: horizontal slatted fence options
LG: paving around the pool is warm with a hint of grey and would go well with the siding.
LG: Poured concrete patio. Will still require score lines at a maximum of 8' apart.
LG: Brent comber Benches
LG: Submerged boulders. Snuck into landscape. This is a landscape project that we worked on. MD: Love it! And love their work too.
LG: porcelain pavers Check out other options at north west landscape supply
LG: pedestal with tiles for a rear garden patio solution
LG: concrete floating steps for front and rear garden. MD: love these
LG: BBQ within a screen. You wouldn't need the screen to act as cover so it could roll away or open differently.
LG: large retained grass steps
LG: Small pool 8' x 16'
LG: Small pools 15' x 7'
LG: fun take on a social garden shed space. I like the drop down bar counter.
LG: I love the idea of a gradual entry pool. Reminiscent of beaches
ID: naturalized pool landscape
ID: bamboo screen
MD: contour & lighting
MD: topography, boulders, rocks, bright green
ID: not sure if there’s a specific thing about this but I like how it mixes up structure/order and nature. I think it would be cool for the landscape to become more natural and less structured towards the back of the yard.
MD: Nice way to deal with a sloped lot.
MD: Like green driveways
MD: Colours; harmony with landscape
MD: Nice!
MD: mix of shapes and green with stones. Natural materials.
