Kitchen Ideas
Fifth-Wall Drama This kitchen in Kansas City, Kansas, by KC Drafting & Design commands attention with its eye-catching wood-paneled tray ceiling. The counters, cabinets and backsplash are done in soft, muted colors that recede and allow the ceiling to stand out, while the wood floor echoes the ceiling’s warm hues. You can see that the adjacent dining room also features a dramatic tray ceiling, but with a slightly different treatment that creates a distinct space.
Glass mosaic backsplash tile in various shades of blue beautifies this white kitchen in Dallas.
The backsplash in this Norfolk, England, kitchen is copper that has been intentionally aged to get its lovely patina.
a sky-blue accent color on the island, such as Soft Chinchilla from Benjamin Moore, can bring the suggestion of open airiness. This is a fantastic “safe” color to use for your island if you want a dash of color but don’t want anything too vivid or wild.
This is my ideal pantry - lower storage for chunky appliances, a counter & shallow shelves (I would have the spice rack like I currently have on one of the door, a pinboard on the other).
Panty Shelves (if we have timber accents in the kitchen).
Many beautiful details - I would have the cabinets all the way to the ceiling.

How to lose some of the Upper Cabinets. Floor-to-ceiling cabinets along the back wall of the kitchen. They have a china cabinet look that suits the 1930s home.
How to Lose some of your Upper Cabinets. This kitchen concentrates storage to open shelving on interior walls. Like this - but I would like glass fronted door to reduce dust.

Like lots of elements here (not the mirror or the thick island countertop).
Cabinetry with no backs, in front of a large kitchen window. Placing windows behind the cabinets makes dramatic use of wall space that would otherwise be covered in cabinetry. Sunlight and garden views become a part of the kitchen. Steve Borlik, Architect. Krista Hoffman, Interior Design.
Nice timber accents (could have a timber island).
Still a great layout.

Corners in kitchens often go unused because they’re difficult to reach and wind up being dead space. A tall cabinet with a drawer on the bottom creates a smart storage opportunity for quick-grab items like spices, oils and snacks.
10. Countertop cabinets. A designer’s kitchen is always a good place to spot great design ideas. Going back to Robertson’s personal kitchen, you’ll see two countertop cabinets in each corner flanking the sink.
Beautiful Navy and White Kitchen.
Dark steel blue(Charcoal Blue from Behr). For those looking for a more neutral option, check out this dark grayish-blue color. This color really grounds the island, making it a solid, substantial statement piece in the kitchen. It’s also a nice foil to the warm wood elements in the room.
Navy Blue island in Van Deusen Blue from Benjamin Moore. A Navy Island gives just the right amount of drama and elegance & is stunning with white, grey and wood tones.
Blue and White
Original use of materials and colours in this kitchen. Has a well placed pantry behind a glass door (beside the fridge). LOVE the glass fronted cabinet in front of the window. Adore that feature in a kitchen.

The best Shallow End Cabinet. This double decker has hooks for keys and cork board on the upper door, a dry-erase board and room for sorting mail below. Around the corner there is a charging station & more mail slots (and a cabinet for bulky parcels).
