Courtney's ideas
Like hair dryer/curling iron drawer.
Cut out shelving inside shower for supplies
His and her sink, separate, mirrors, sconce lighting on sides of mirror, center storage
Double shower, bench inside.
Like the stone (but not the color). Thinking we could also pull in stone or whatever trim we use around fireplace and tie it into this design too. Like lighting here. WE would need some added.
This design is practically perfect. Like the fridge in center and how it's flanked by french cabinets and a drawer on both sides (click photo to see full thing). Like the simple shelves above (don't want cabinetry). Assume we'd match kitchen counter tops and then design shelves to pull in decor from living room? Like simple lights in this space (we would need that). Don't like how the counter height is low....it should be raised to the height of the base of the cutout.
This style of railing could also work, but would need to see as part of entire design.
Like this railing.
Like the simplicity of this railing, to me it looks modern but not over the top. Classic transitional. Although we would have carpet on entire stairs vs just a runner. Not sure if this design would work?
Really like this color of wood floor and the simplicity of the fan (although not sure we need a fan vs. a light, but I do like how simple it is). Love how dark color is pulled into fireplace outline. Don't like white walls, prefer grey.
Like drawers under TV and how the TV looks built in. Like wooden mantle. Like dark wood floor. Don't like pattern rug or yellow pillows. Don't like coffee table (no glass).
Like this round coffee table, and the couch, and the couch color. Like the modern style of the chairs, but not the leather/pillowed fabric.
Like this coffee table as it looks a little rustic, like floor color, like stone detail on fire place. Like style of couch and chair. Don't like pattern on rug (prefer solid). Don't like light fabric on couch, need something grey to hid dirt from boys.
Like this style of couch and how it ties into grey on the kitchen island. Don't like metallic tones. Don't like coffee table. This rug pattern is OK but still prefer solid and something with a warmer feel.
Like color palate overall. Like the mix of fabrics and even some with an understated pattern. Do not like pattern on rug. Do not like coffee table (too bulky and odd finish on end). Do not like two-tone curtains, prefer solid or no curtains at all.
Like the color and style of this blue chair. Like mix of blue, grey, and brown. Do not like pattern on rug or wall. Do not like coffee table (no glass or chrome).
Like how this grey table pulls the grey color in from the kitchen, concerned it may be too much grey though with grey on walls?
Like the simplicity of this table and chairs. Like that the chairs are not wood or fabric (makes them easier to clean). Don't like glass materiel used on the table as I think it would show finger prints too much.
Like the breakfast nook table in the back of this photo - it's sleek, pulls in white, and is not as bulky as the one we have now. Also like the style of chair, but not sure about the color.
Do not like the angled direction of the back splash, but do like that it'e grey. Don't like metal stools, a bit too industrial.
Like the dark gray island and how that color is pulled into the open shelves. Also like how the counter tops pull in the grey. Don't like the white subway tile (too shiny) or the pendants (too busy and would be hard to see from kitchen into nook and living room).
Like single basin sink (bigger the better) and how it's sunk into the counter top (makes for easy cleaning of counters around the sink). Don't like how busy the back splash is.
Like color of these floors - it's dark but not super brown, almost looks like reclaimed wood with grey tones. Could go well with grey walls. Don't like the pattern on the back splash.
Like how there is grey in the counter top.
Like the dark grey island and the lighter grey back splash. Like the stone look of the back splash (as opposed to subway tile). Like the pendants and how they are practically invisible. Like that the stools have a back, but that it's not higher than the counter - good for the boys. Don't like the fabric on chairs (too hard to clean). Don't like how the floors are very shiny.
Like dark wood floor, combo of white and grey colors. Don't like subway tile back splash, but do like that it's grey.
Dark Green with the light wood combination and grey floor (this photo was the main one I saw that got me thinking about a modern hunter green office)
