Handrail
Shower head and controls
Horizontal window in shower wrapped in cultured marble. Controls on the side wall. The window can be set an 8 foot high.
Stove side vented and without wall treatment or recess
Buffet coffee station. This shelf is too long
Stain color for floor?
Stain color, maybe kitchen color scheme for black appliances. 4” Solid surface backsplash on one kitchen wall. Maybe glass tile on the other.
An aqua entry door, mostly glass.
Canaan and I both like this color scheme. We might consider it for the great room. He really doesn’t like white.
Slab. Large pulls. Canaan does not like any gray in the stain. I do not like yellow or red. Chocolate? Bronze?
Fold down bar
Large span Bookcase with a different colored back
Put pattern in the curtains, not the upholstery or rug.
Kitchen mobile island (44x20 inches) 62 pounds. Available is several finished.
Kitchen mobile island. (4x2 and 52 pounds) it would be better with a 3rd shelf or two thin drawers for silverware. It is best if the shelves have a lip on them since it will be bumped and moved often. (See Sonoma kitchen cart)
Spice shelves near Canaan’s counter?
Library/living room freestanding
Multi use room
Curbless shower with a solid surface wall
Interior sliding doors-I think the doors and hardware both need to be dark in order for this look to work.
Laundry-drying Rod and washer and dryer and thin Cabinet above the sink only.
Kitchen - solid surface backsplash
Raised beds
fixtures over the dining table, the plants at a lot to the room. Curtains to the ceiling.
This fireplace surround includes cedar, blackened steel, and concrete. Putting this dark colored cedar paneling behind the gas stove would create a dramatic wall as well as absorb some of the extraneous noise in the room. We might consider caring across the adjacent 9 foot wall. Whatever finish I use should go all the way to the ceiling.
Faux finished wall near stove
Gas stove - Put a charcoal stone or cedar siding behind and a 1-2” platform under the stove. The piece under the stove looks like the thickness of countertop material.
Kingsman FDV 451 - I like the dark, dramatic stone behind the stove.
Bookcase - example of a bookcase not quite to ceiling height. Be sure my curtains hanging completely off the windows on the sides like this.
Focal wall - I love them. They can be very simple. The spotlight above it is important. The wall should be narrower than the soffit so it can be painted a different color. And maybe trim at the top equal to the baseboard.
Variety of materials - Have at least three on the exterior of the home. Our home could have a sloped sidewalk like this.
Bookcase - the 6’ case is only $1800. This one is too big, but it gives an example of pricing. This is 10 feet wide 8 feet tall and 14 inches deep. See way fair.com marilee library. This color would go well with the bronze windows. And the lighter shelves would probably match the floor.
Bookcase - also see Wayfair.com Marilee Library bookcase 8x10x15 foot bookcase for $2,665.
Cabinet- low shelf near Canaan’s work area for spices or microwave
Columns and soffits should match the color of the walls, not the ceiling. That way, I think they will create greater definition between it to be areas. I also like the tall floor lamp.
Carpet
Minimal detail, nice materials, nice wall texture and color palette
Bathroom a little attention to detail in the tile work adds so much. Subway, squares, border.
Bath -two shower heads
Doors - dark trim around the sliding door hardware makes a more finished look
Kitchen- cooktop hood
Kitchen cabinet over counter near sinks I like the concept of an open shelf on the lower part of the cabinet for easy to grab items. The shelf can be standalone. It doesn’t need to attach to the cabinet above it.
Doors - two panels are nice, split with a bigger rectangle on top. The pattern is repeated in the entry door
Notice how much they plant behind the chair ads.
