1. Refrigerator side panel. Most kitchen remodels incorporate the refrigerator into the design by adding side panels that match the cabinetry for a built-in look. Standard countertops overhang base cabinet doors by half an inch. Be sure the depth of the refrigerator panel is slightly greater than the depth of the counter. Otherwise, the counter will jut past the panel instead of converging with it.
Do not like the farmhouse sinks in this kitchen. Deciding on a farmhouse sink I think should depend in part on the color of the sink we choose and whether it would stand out from the surrounding cabinets. Also don't like the white right next to the natural wood tones. May need to think about changing our kitchen blinds now.
Notice the dual level island - I don't like it.
Love the white shaker cabinets with the mid-tone wood floor; back splash is too busy; don't like the gold hardware or faucet.
Notice how fixtures and finishes (lamps, range hood, cabinet hardware) don't match.
Butcher block island and towel bar on end of cabinet - other ideas besides putting towel bar on cabinetry?
Picture is similar to what we want but with a brown island.

I like this backsplash too - maybe a way to add a little more color to the backsplash than the off-white tile I've been looking at.
