1, 3, or 7 depending on kitchen we end up with
Because the cabinetry is the star of the room, the couple chose a soft green for the tile and countertops to complement it. The hand-glazed tiles are part of the Revival Classics collection by Mission Tile West, which was inspired by 1920s and ’30s tile design. The counters are Typhoon Green granite.
everything BUT the solid black range hood. maybe white oak like island with black trim (perimeter or just across bottom?)
a fantastic, budget minded reno with a number of good ideas. if we did for new house i would use light wood where they have green.
baking cart
for smaller kichen, use a baking cart stored in a pantry or closet
island with under-shelf like this would be handy, esp if it had outlets for powering up laptops/tablets. could also stash napkins or whatever. keep the countertop clutter free.
swap out blue for lt green. keep upper shelves (for pix) but ditch lower shelves. shades good in lodi depending on exposure, maybe a natural wood-color material (bamboo?) if wood floor and cutting board as shown here
this style/layout is nice in a smallish kitchen. wood cabinetry for island and white cabinets.

Woltz and Jonathan had trouble agreeing on a statement tile for behind the sink until Woltz came up with the idea of doing something inspired by New York City subway stations. She did some photo research and came up with the design shown here that incorporates the house’s street name. “It adds character to the house but it’s not too personal that the next person wouldn’t love it too,” she says.
only #3
another shot of this kitchen i love
all the wood looks great when floor is NOT. Her the floor is "coastal ceramic" gray. looks great w wood cabinets, white walls, stainless and marble. very lovely
this is a beautiful kitchen. and even though i didn't want blue, the blue range with tile looks super. could this work with "my" green?
check out the "range wall" with super-hood! scaled down a bit, this would be my ideal. no uppers to get greasy fom cooking and a high-functioning hood.
having (only) the island painted would allow me to have a matching-color european range!
floorplan included
white oak or stone-look porcelainfloor in kitchen
fantastic! i'd still go for wood instead of bluetough. with "my" green accents, art, etc
by sink
hoosier cupboard (americancountryhomestore.com)
i love this layout (but more modern)
this kitchen ha rubber flooring
an "L" kitchen with big open island (no sink or range!) is what i am hoping for. like "corner" seating at island the best, but this shows the layout i hope for.
more of the same kitchen
despite the colors, i really like the layout of cabinets and appliances, with the window/open wall around range
layout note to self: we don't need a breakfast nook space. Jon and i will likely eat at the island/peninsula when alone. otherwise, the dining space needs to be an open area so table can be expanded without crowding. rather, we need pantry sorage and utility work area for me.
this kitchen is only partially open - toadjacent dining space.
#'s 1 and 3 - Lapitec and Durat
doggies are another reason for tile in the kitchen
Although i really hope to have the mixer on an open countertop, if space doesn't allow, we'd have to do this.
i like the "mantel" over the range hood where a piece of art -or TV- could be.
i love the pendant lights. also the hanging pot/lids idea is clever.
walnut butcher block island countertop adds warmth to refaced white cabinets.
A dry-erase board hangs on the inside of the left door for shopping reminders. The inside of the right door has a broom rack. ... It also keeps a broom within easy reach of the kitchen’s main work area.”
