Exposed Trusses
Interesting assembly. Could be done with stained wood as well.
...another look at the truss. This is also true timber structure for the columns (hybrid)
Intriguing looking truss. It's more of a modern look with knife-blade connections and the steel rods at the top are definitely structural.
Painted common king post style truss. Very simple and inexpensive.
Cool look, but might be too contemporary for you and the current architectural style of the house. This is a steel web truss with bottom cord of timber.
Very nice looking truss. I like this one.
Heavy double arched collar tie
This is a nice ceiling finish. It's very open and likely decorative (ceiling assembly is above the finished ceiling)
Very simple open web exposed truss. I don't particularly like this shape since it's been over-done for years, but need to show it since it's an option.
Steel knife-blade connection with steel rod collar tie.
Simple, more modern looking truss, but is likely structural.
Classic double hammer truss, but does not have a king post, so the ridge board is held in compression and there is a timber collar tie. Ceiling around trusses is also very authentic and we could achieve this look in your Great Room. I'm sure you don't like the color or ornate finish on the hammer truss, but that's easily changed. It's more the shape that I'm drawing attention to.
Nice king post truss with a double collar tie. This is a classy look and I like it because it isn't commonly seen.
Hammer Truss with steel tension collar tie (this is a nice look with use of different materials)
Simple King Post Truss
Nice. Heavy looking
