Located in Bethesda, Maryland, a Zen-like retreat showcases a softened hardscape by landscape architect Thomas Rainer, featuring boxwood, ferns and perennials and hydrangea. A pool pavilion designed by Robert M. Gurney, FAIA is surrounded by lush greenery. A lettered figure garden sculpture by artist Jaume Plensa embellishes the natural surroundings. Maintained by Shorb Landscaping, the project won a 2020 Excellence in Design Landscape Contractors Association MD, DC, VA - LCA Distinction Award for Residential Maintenance.
