Griem says “to create a minimalist interior without it appearing cold and impersonal is difficult and relies on a very well executed layout, selection of finishes and ample storage. When only one non-colour (white) is allowed the depth of the design can only be reflected to the viewer by the surface of the materials. It is the hardest thing to do.

All walls and ceilings are predominantly plasterboard, painted in 3 shades of white. Other materials are white lacquer finish for the kitchen joinery and with Onyx man-made stone for the worktop and the entire backsplash wall. Stainless steel for appliances. DINESEN pine floor stained with white oil. The boards are between 4000 – 6000mm long and 400mm wide.
