DRAPES & DECORThe homeowner wished to add some color and style to her very neural and plain family room. We've addressed several components of the room: window treatments, furniture and rug placement and addition of pattern and color. The large bay type window consisted of 6 standard size windows separated by the strips of wall. We've added single width drapery panels in the pattern rich fabric and hung them on medallion type of hardware installed way above the window frame for for extra hight.
Two armchairs were placed in front of the bay area to create a perfect place for reading and conversation. Two color rich pillows were added to emphasize the area.

Complete with an open floor plan for entertaining, the homeowners also enjoy a lap pool, a spa retreat, and a detached gameroom with a green roof.

The cornice boards in this house includes (2) different materials, an upholstered wood top molding and absolutely symmetrical handicraft on the curtains. Also, the (4) animal skin wing-backed chairs square measure superbly adorned with nail-heads that are carried throughout the design. This bachelor retreat features a stunning pendant and hand-tufted ottoman table. This house is warm and welcoming and perfect for intimate conversations amongst family and friends for years to come. Please take note - when using cornices, one should decide what proportion return is required. Return is the distance your material hangs away from the wall. Yes, this additionally affects the proportion. Usually, return is 3½ inches. However, larger or taller windows might need a deeper return to avoid the fabric from getting squashed against the wall. An example of a mid-sized transitional formal dining area in Houston, Texas with dark hardwood floors, more, however totally different, large damask wallpaper on the ceiling, (6) custom upholstered striped fabric, scroll back chairs surrounding a gorgeous, glass top dining table, chandelier, artwork and foliage pull this area along for a really elegant, yet masculine space. Styling tips: (A) Use nail-heads on furnishings within the alternative rooms to display a reoccurring motif among the house. Adrienne DeRosaOne of the most unique features of the home is the glass door in the living room. Powered like an automatic garage door, the wall retracts up to the ceiling at the press of a button. The door, as all windows throughout the home, was fabricated with double-pane glass to keep out noise and cold temperatures.
The sofa and ottoman were designed by Robert and Cortney for CB2. Completely modular, it can be configured in a variety of ways and colors. By implementing a tray onto the ottoman, the piece can go from extra seating to a tabletop in a flash.

Statement of StyleWarm and inviting contemporary great room in The Ridges. The large wall panels of walnut accent the automated art that covers the TV when not in use. The floors are beautiful French Oak that have been faux finished and waxed for a very natural look. There are two stunning round custom stainless pendants with custom linen shades. The round cocktail table has a beautiful book matched top in Macassar ebony. A large cable wool shag rug makes a great room divider in this very grand room. The backdrop is a concrete fireplace with two leather reading chairs and ottoman. Timeless sophistication!
