Salt InteriorsSalt Interiors custom joinery was featured in the August issue of House & Garden Magazine. For this project, Salt Interiors worked with Senior Interior Designer for Coco Republic, Natasha Levak to provide custom joinery for the 1930s Spanish-revival home. Levak’s vision for a neutral palette helped to determine the polyurethane paint for the renovated joinery unit Salt installed in the room.

BLUE RIBBON BUILDERS INCThis tucked away timber frame home features intricate details and fine finishes.
This home has extensive stone work and recycled timbers and lumber throughout on both the interior and exterior. The combination of stone and recycled wood make it one of our favorites.The tall stone arched hallway, large glass expansion and hammered steel balusters are an impressive combination of interior themes. Take notice of the oversized one piece mantels and hearths on each of the fireplaces. The powder room is also attractive with its birch wall covering and stone vanities and countertop with an antler framed mirror. The details and design are delightful throughout the entire house.

A renovation of an ornate, parlor level brownstone apartment on the Promenade in Brooklyn Heights with views to the Manhattan skyline. The space was reconfigured to create long views through the apartment around a sculptural “core”, its modern detailing and materials acting in counterpoint to the grandeur of the original detailing.

Floor | White Oak Flat Sawn, with a white finish that was sanded off called natural its a 7% gloss. Total was 4 layers. white finish, sanded, refinished. Installed and supplies around $20/sq.ft. Sara Slade InteriorsIt is a luxury to have two sitting rooms, but with a house with many floors and a family it really helps! This room was designed to have a calmer area for the family to sit together and for this reason we calmed the colours down o give it a softer feel. A large rug in the room and floor to ceiling curtains really elevates the space, whilst taking the textured wallpaper around the room ensures the room feels luxurious and warm.
Ann Lowengart InteriorsWe juxtaposed bold colors and contemporary furnishings with the early twentieth-century interior architecture for this four-level Pacific Heights Edwardian. The home's showpiece is the living room, where the walls received a rich coat of blackened teal blue paint with a high gloss finish, while the high ceiling is painted off-white with violet undertones. Against this dramatic backdrop, we placed a streamlined sofa upholstered in an opulent navy velour and companioned it with a pair of modern lounge chairs covered in raspberry mohair. An artisanal wool and silk rug in indigo, wine, and smoke ties the space together.

Drewett WorksAdding a level of organic nature to his work, C.P. Drewett used wood to calm the architecture down on this contemporary house and make it more elegant. A wood ceiling and custom furnishings with walnut bases and tapered legs suit the muted tones of the living room.
