It looks cleaned up compared to what is there...but if you are trying to lighten things and draw the eye outside, I'd lose the stove pipe look. What about looking into boxing in the stove pipe and making it cultured stone? Especially if the ceramic wood-look tile you want is stone colored or in a nice wood tone? It would be a lot more aesthetically pleasing.
