Plant Combinations
Spring bulbs Muscari Grape Hyacinth that will naturalize. Yellow Daffodils will come back if winter is chilly enough unlike Tulips for the San Jose area. they will bloom better in pots since they are exposed to more chilly weather. However these Daffodils have been in the same place year after year for a decade.
As with other bulbs, cut the flower stem off when the bloom is done (Muscari don't matter). Wait until the leaves yellow and die back before removing.
