Dorthy Pautz Landscape ArchitectExisting stairs from the back door leading to the tiny garden used to go to the flat on-grade garden level - a raised deck was added which eliminated two of the existing steps creating a large landing/spa deck and created a more relaxed flow to the stone patio. The new corner spa is sitting on a new slab below the deck, and the new deck (with removable panel at the spa mechanical panel) was built around the spa. The design includes custom lattice screens around the hot tub to give it a luxury spa feeling and screen the adjacent neighbor's house wall. Blue Bamboo was planted on grade at the deck corners with root barriers in order to create a lush green look and complement the screening. New lattice was added under the stair which is covered by star jasmine.

Yorkshire GardensIn this project we aimed to create a stylish garden which was both family friendly and low maintenance.
Eco decking was used to create a large contemporary decking area. This composite product is slip resistant and is created using 95% recycled materials so is very eco friendly . This product is extremely low maintenance and long lasting.
Rendered flower beds were built and complement the sleek and simple lines of the garden. A simplistic planting scheme has been utilised to add colour.
A high quality artificial lawn was laid. This product is a great alternative for those looking for a lawn which will look lush all year round and will with stand children and animals playing on it.
The slatted fence runs around the perimeter and adds warmth and texture to the space. Overall this garden is simple yet very slick.

Roland Oehme Landscape ArchitectureThis is an urban single family home situated on a narrow lot that is about 1/8 of an acre and is only 2 blocks from the Pacific Ocean. I designed a completely new garden and installed everything along with the client’s help. The garden I designed consisted of an ornamental grass garden, a xeriscape garden with decomposed granite mounds, fruit trees and shrubs located throughout, a jungle forest garden, and raised brick vegetable beds in the rear. Previously, there was a wood deck covering almost the entire property that was removed by the owner. We installed root guard around all of the walkways. I installed the raised brick vegetable beds and walkways around the vegetable beds. Many of the plants were chosen to provide food and habitat for pollinators as well. Dozens of fruiting plants were located in the garden. So, it is called the “Garden of Eatin”.

City Garden CompanyA fun, inviting and low-maintenance outdoor living space for both adults and children to enjoy, in Watkinsville, GA.
Patio with gas-fueled outdoor fireplace and deck, designed to work a variety of elements into a small parcel of backyard and to allow for access from the 2nd floor kitchen of this home in Watkinsville, GA. As the clients' wish list also included an outdoor kitchen, the necessary gas and drainage fittings were built into the destined spot, ready for the future addition of a grill and sink.
The brick for the walls and fireplace was carefully selected to match the house, while completing the Oklahoma flagstone patio floor and stone cap. All stone and brick was hand-cut and laid by the City Garden Co install team.
Plants and trees were added as a second phase to fit in with budget and optimal planting season.

In this small front garden in Greenwich we have used the soft yorkstone to blend with the old london brick of the house contrasting geometric pattern Victorian replica tiles all softened with a simple mix of planting to create a wonderful entrance to this lovely home and an additional basement seating area to catch the late afternoon sun.
