Harmony Design NorthwestBoxwoods border the front walkway, entry, patios, and driveway, forming a low hedge. The red clay brick pavers in a herringbone pattern add a timeless appeal to the house.
Small garden beds feature white-blooming favorites like Hydrangea arborescens Annabelle’, Gardenia jasminoides ‘Kleim’s Hardy,’ and Liriope muscari ‘Monroe’s White.’ For privacy, Buxus sempervirens ‘Skywalker’ was chosen for hedging.
Northwest Native Landscapes LLCDramatic plant textures, modern hardscaping and sharp angles enhanced this mid-century modern bungalow. Soft plants were chosen to contrast with the sharp angles of the pathways and hard edges of the MCM home, while providing all-season interest. Horizontal privacy screens wrap the front porch and create intimate garden spaces – some visible only from the street and some visible only from inside the home. The front yard is relatively small in size, but full of colorful texture.

H2 XERO Landscape DesignThis arid garden photo was taken just after the garden was installed so the plants are still small. Within a year, the shrubs in the background will hide the block perimeter wall and the neighbor's shed. An important part of landscape design is to solve visual problems. We used blue-black Mexican river rock to create the illusion of water in the permeable dry river. We call this style, our lush desert or soft desert design. Bradford Associates, LLCA custom address sign is lit from behind with a LED light tile and compliments the more contemporary landscape design for the front entry. The concrete pier is designed as a planter.
