Katia Goffin GardensThe Entry and Parking Courtyard : The approach to the front of the house leads up the driveway into a spacious cobbled courtyard framed by a series of stone walls , which in turn are surrounded by plantings. The stone walls also allow the formation of a secondary room for entry into the garages. The walls extend the architecture of the house into the garden allowing the house to be grounded to the site and connect to the greater landscape.

Matthew Giampietro Garden DesignThis garden path is an entry to the shade garden. The stepping stone walkway is planted with moss. The garden path meanders through the canopy of the shade garden. The garden and landscape design is in Connecticut backyard by Matthew Giampietro of Waterfalls Fountains & Gardens Inc. designed and installed the secret garden and the stepping stone walkways.

Legacy Landscape Design, LLCThis was a big new home on a small lot in Marietta, GA. There was a sewer easement in the back yard, which forced us to install the pool along the side of the back yard. This freed the back yard up for terracing and a custom water feature. The owner loved the Pacific NW, so we designed in as many conifers and big boulders as we felt comfortable growing here in GA.
I loved all the movement and flowing bed lines. I also liked how accessible the upper yard and pool were to the deck and porch.

Millennium Landscape & Construction Inc.This is a cut sandstone (Wilkeson Sandstone from Washington), with dwarf brass buttons planted between it. The path is approx 60' long, planted with bulbs, epimedium and saxifraga.

Battered Walls were constructed to help hold
the planting beds and slow down the water flows.

Smalls LandscapingStarting on the lakeside slope, 200 yards of pulverized topsoil peat and 40 tons of moss rock outcropping were hand delivered to the lakeside one wheelbarrow and rock at a time to soften the slope and create planting areas. Plantings on the lakeside included different Japanese Maples along with unique varieties of conifers, some multi-grafted. Different varieties of Hydrangeas, Rhododendrons along with mixed sun and shade perennials, grass sedges, and multiple types of ground covers were planted to complete the layers of color and textures.

DabneyCollinsCustom designed wood gate with Iron Accessories. This project is located off of Crescent Ave in Greenville, SC.
From inception, this project was a complete renovation with a ‘no-limit’ approach to the design. The clients wanted to create family-friendly gardens to enjoy with their grand-children and also larger spaces for hosting charitable events. A new driveway leads into the property where various materials are married in interesting ways to create new terraces and pavilions, gates and arbors, fountains and fireplaces. Of course, the gardens wouldn’t be complete without the wide variety of elegant plantings and accessories. This truly is a garden full of wonderful detail.
