ARCADIA GARDEN Ландшафтная СтудияЭлегантный дизайн с мягкими формами, подчеркивающими природные силуэты растений. Это еще один пример нашего сотрудничества с Архитектурной студией Нины Прудниковой. В прошлом году сделали дизайн только в готовой части, на другой половине продолжается постройка большого гостевого дома. Общая площадь вместе с большой лесной частью около двух гектаров. Сдержанный и тонко подобранный парад красок в саду начинается с раннего цветения пролески, нарциссов, тюльпанов, декоративных луков, рододендронов, калины и продолжается весь сезон. Ждем зацветания зонтов боярышника и шалфеев. И как же хороши пожухлые соцветия в сочетании с домом, это еще осенью меня поразило, ржавые посконники оказались очень в теме!

Inviting Spaces By KimThis centrally located intersection to a main thoroughfare a block away was a concern because of the corner lot visibility issue for cars making a turn driving in either direction. The Quince tree bloomed annually for just a short time and was originally planted by the prior home owners decades ago. Keeping it maintained to a height of 4’ maximum, dictated for safety reasons, was still obstructing and limiting the visibility of oncoming traffic at this busy intersection.
The existing roses planted in the same space as the Quince were a perfect backdrop to the new perennials and annuals planted to paint this corner with flowers. The project also included expanding the beautification to both corner areas in coordination with several other planting areas already seasonally updated on the property. With the Redwood Tree as a focal point and Roses, Daphnes, Iris, Azaleas, Fuchsias, Hydrangeas and Camilias highlighting the planting beds the addition of color, including around the driveway and side entrance, transformed the entire space.

Architecte Paysagiste Côte d'AzurConçu comme un nid familial d'été pour de multiples générations, les terres de ce jardin surgissent entre le ciel et la mer et baignent dans le soleil, de l'aube jusqu'au soir. De ce fait, les conditions idéales sont réunies pour faire pousser un large spectre de plantes qui aiment le soleil, telles que lavande, romarin, myrte, verveine, sauge et thym.
Les propriétaires ont désiré une configuration libre, avec beaucoup de variétés à floraison estivale dans les couleurs pastel, qui émulent les vastes champs de la Provence. Sur plusieurs niveaux des vagues de graminées couleur sable ondulent autour de rochers et de murs en pierre.
Des cyprès soulignent le paysage, apportant de la verticalité dans le décor comme des points d'exclamation. Attirés par les riches nuages de nectar floral, les papillons et autres insectes butineurs contribuent au sentiment général d'un jardin naturel.
K. Dakin Design Inc.Dakin has been working with the owners of this site realize their dream of cultivating a rich and meaningful landscape around their home. Because of their deep engagement with their land and garden, the landscape has guided the entire design process, from architecture to civil engineering to landscape design.
All architecture on site is oriented toward the garden, a park-like, multi-use environment that includes a walking labyrinth, restored prairie, a Japanese garden, an orchard, vegetable beds, berry brambles, a croquet lawn and a charred wood outdoor shower. Dakin pays special attention to materials at every turn, selecting an antique sugar bowl for the outdoor fire pit, antique Japanese roof tiles to create blue edging, and stepping stones imported from India. In addition to its diversity of garden types, this permacultural paradise is home to chickens, ducks, and bees. A complex irrigation system was designed to draw alternately from wells and cisterns.

Dakin has also had the privilege of creating an arboretum of diverse and rare trees that she based on Olmsted’s design for Central Park. Trees were selected to display a variety of seasonally shifting delights: spring blooms, fall berries, winter branch structure. Mature trees onsite were preserved and sometimes moved to new locations.
