Michael Robert ConstructionThis foyer was updated with the addition of white paneling and new herringbone hardwood floors with a walnut border. The walls are covered in a navy blue grasscloth wallpaper from Thibaut. A navy and white geometric patterned stair-runner, held in place with stair rods capped with pineapple finials, further contributes to the home's coastal feel.

Paradise Tiny Homes LLCThis Ohana model ATU tiny home is contemporary and sleek, cladded in cedar and metal. The slanted roof and clean straight lines keep this 8x28' tiny home on wheels looking sharp in any location, even enveloped in jungle. Cedar wood siding and metal are the perfect protectant to the elements, which is great because this Ohana model in rainy Pune, Hawaii and also right on the ocean.
A natural mix of wood tones with dark greens and metals keep the theme grounded with an earthiness.
Theres a sliding glass door and also another glass entry door across from it, opening up the center of this otherwise long and narrow runway. The living space is fully equipped with entertainment and comfortable seating with plenty of storage built into the seating. The window nook/ bump-out is also wall-mounted ladder access to the second loft.
The stairs up to the main sleeping loft double as a bookshelf and seamlessly integrate into the very custom kitchen cabinets that house appliances, pull-out pantry, closet space, and drawers (including toe-kick drawers).
A granite countertop slab extends thicker than usual down the front edge and also up the wall and seamlessly cases the windowsill.
The bathroom is clean and polished but not without color! A floating vanity and a floating toilet keep the floor feeling open and created a very easy space to clean! The shower had a glass partition with one side left open- a walk-in shower in a tiny home. The floor is tiled in slate and there are engineered hardwood flooring throughout.
Century Stair Company
Special care was taken by Century Stair Company to build the architect's and owner's vision of a craftsman style three-level staircase in a bright and airy floor plan with soaring 19'curved/cathedral ceilings and exposed beams. The stairs furnished the rustic living space with warm oak rails and modern vertical black/satin balusters. Century built a freestanding stair and landing between the second and third level to adapt and to maintain the home's livability and comfort. Stairs lined with natural wood on the steps and the side dividers. The leds were placed under the partitions so that the lighting does not disturb when going up the stairs. In the background a large window overlooking the garden.
Highland Builders LLCThis foyer feels very serene and inviting with the light walls and live sawn white oak flooring. Custom board and batten is added to the feature wall, and stairway. Tons of sunlight greets this space with the clear glass sidelights.

Jibe DesignA traditional wood stair I designed as part of the gut renovation and expansion of a historic Queen Village home. What I find exciting about this stair is the gap between the second floor landing and the stair run down -- do you see it? I do a lot of row house renovation/addition projects and these homes tend to have layouts so tight I can't afford the luxury of designing that gap to let natural light flow between floors.
S&A StairsBalaclava Road is constructed with rich Spotted Gum timbers, playing off against black mild steel zig-zag stringers and handrail. This combination, together with floor to ceiling glass balustrade which runs down 4 flights, is a testament to the design and construction of this beautiful project.
Brandner DesignThe Ross Peak Steel Stringer Stair and Railing is full of functionality and flair. Steel stringers paired with waterfall style white oak treads, with a continuous grain pattern for a seamless design. A shadow reveal lined with LED lighting follows the stairs up, illuminating the Blue Burned Fir wall. The railing is made of stainless steel posts and continuous stainless steel rod balusters. The hand railing is covered in a high quality leather and hand stitched, tying the contrasting industrial steel with the softness of the wood for a finished look. Below the stairs is the Illuminated Stair Wine Closet, that’s extenuated by stair design and carries the lighting into the space.
