This beautiful custom wine cellar / wine wall / wine room in San Juan Capistrano, Orange County, California is truly a jaw dropper. Vintage Cellars, wine cellar builders out of san diego, california, were able to design and build this masterpiece as a major centerpoint of this dining room and kitchen. A custom wine cellar designed and built by vintage wine cellars out of San Diego, California - this custom wine wall has tons of unique and noteworthy features throughout. The bottom of the cellar begins with multiple areas for wine case storage and other bulk storage options. The great thing about this space is that it was designed for multi-use capability, leaving ample room to store multiple layers deep of single bottle storage as well. Directly above the case storage lie multiple layers of easy pull out shelving on smooth rolling tracks, seamlessly allowing for drawer sliding with no risk of bottle movement or abrupt stops. These are fantastic features to have, especially in the case of having flights of wines from your favorite wineries. A collection of 2010 through 2016 Larkmeade Cabernet Sauvignon bottles from Napa have never looked so good. In the center, a small countertop and opening are used for a practical space to open and decant wines. Glass shelving features and acrylic wine racking dividers make for a fun, transparent, and sleek looking centerpiece. On either side of this wine wall feature / kitchen wine cellar are long rows of high reveal display of wine bottles, carefully designed and engineered to lay down properly so that the cork will stay wet and wines are aged perfectly and gracefully over time. These display rows act as fantastic "show off" sections - perfectly highlighting each bottle's respective label and giving you the ability to really display your gems. More sections sit above these displays, turning the bottles inward and facing them cork out. In this certain circumstance and with this specific client's collection, these sections really popped with color and intrigue with many cases of the same wines being placed into the racking. Intense hues of Red and Yellow POP, keeping this wine cellar interesting and a pleasure to look at no matter what section you're exploring. Horizontal stainless steel metal rods are Integrated into the custom cabinetry horizontally and angled across each multiple sections, again offering another unique and different design feature, now with wine bottle labels facing outward and completely visible. Phillip Crocker Photography The Decadent Adult Retreat! Bar, Wine Cellar, 3 Sports TV's, Pool Table, Fireplace and Exterior Hot Tub. A custom bar was designed my McCabe Design & Interiors to fit the homeowner's love of gathering with friends and entertaining whilst enjoying great conversation, sports tv, or playing pool. The original space was reconfigured to allow for this large and elegant bar. Beside it, and easily accessible for the homeowner bartender is a walk-in wine cellar. Custom millwork was designed and built to exact specifications including a routered custom design on the curved bar. A two-tiered bar was created to allow preparation on the lower level. Across from the bar, is a sitting area and an electric fireplace. Three tv's ensure maximum sports coverage. Lighting accents include slims, led puck, and rope lighting under the bar. A sonas and remotely controlled lighting finish this entertaining haven.

Ciò che non manca mai nella casa di un vero amante del vino è una cantina personale, magari allestita in taverna o nel seminterrato. Nelle serate primaverili ed estive, quando il clima si fa più mite, rilassarsi in veranda con un buon bicchiere di vino della propria riserva è un ottimo modo per concludere la giornata. Una cantina deve essere allestita in un modo ben preciso per poter conservare al meglio le bottiglie di vino: non essendo un semplice sgabuzzino o deposito, questa particolare stanza deve essere strutturata in modo da favorire temperatura costante e giusta dose di umidità. Un ambiente troppo umido potrebbe favorire la formazione di muffe sui tappi di sughero; al contrario un ambiente troppo asciutto potrebbe farli seccare e comprometterne la tenuta. Le cantine possono essere inoltre utilizzate per conservare altri tipi di alcolici nonché alimenti come salumi, insaccati e conserve.

Come allestisco e arredo la cantina di casa?

Se deciderai di sfruttare una parte del tuo seminterrato adibendola a cantina, dovrai prima di tutto assicurarti che non ci siano finestre o infiltrazioni di luce. La luce solare è infatti deleteria per il vino in quanto ne altera il sapore ed è altrettanto dannosa per liquori, birre, salumi e insaccati. La luce solare inoltre rischierebbe di compromettere la quantità necessaria di umidità che deve essere assolutamente presente: le pareti devono mantenere il luogo a temperatura costante tra i 12°C e i 18°C, elemento fondamentale per la perfetta maturazione ed affinamento del vino. Le cantine non sono però da intendere come un luogo a sé stante della casa. Sono stanze come le altre e in quanto tali possono essere arredate in modo da renderle un ambiente accogliente e ospitale, dove invitare i propri amici e mostrare loro la cura con cui conservi le tue scorte di vino.

Come scelgo gli scaffali per la mia cantina e quali cantinette frigo acquistare?

Elemento indispensabile per una cantina di un grande appassionato di vini è la scaffalatura, in legno o in metallo, nella quale riporre le bottiglie e le riserve di cibo. Potresti dedicare una parete intera agli scaffali per il vino, oppure, se la stanza che avrai deciso di trasformare in cantina non presenta le condizioni adatte, potresti utilizzare una delle numerose cantinette per vino disponibili sul mercato, piccole dispense climatizzate che ricreano al proprio interno la temperatura adatta alla conservazione delle tue preziose bottiglie. Posiziona le bottiglie su mensole che dovranno essere delle dimensioni adatte a contenere le bottiglie inclinate tendenti ad una posizione orizzontale, in modo che il tappo, a contatto diretto con il vino, rimanga morbido e non si crepi, evitando pericolose infiltrazioni di ossigeno. È importante anche conoscere l’ordine in cui andrai a collocare sugli scaffali i tipi di vino: i vini bianchi andranno nei ripiani inferiori, leggermente più freschi, mentre i vini rossi in quelli superiori a contatto con l’aria più calda. Ricorda inoltre che il vino traspira l’ambiente che lo circonda, non vorrai mai che venisse contaminato da sostante chimiche ed odori troppo forti: evita di sistemarlo accanto a cibi stagionati o su mensole in legno trattate chimicamente.

Come decorare la cantina

Idealmente la cantina che tutti abbiamo in mente ha i mattoni a vista e il soffitto a botte. Non dimenticare però che puoi integrarne lo stile con quello della tua casa. Se vuoi ovviare ai tradizionali pietra e legno, puoi progettarla con vetro e metallo per una soluzione più moderna. Al centro della stanza potrai collocare un vecchio tavolo in legno restaurato e riverniciato, corredato di sgabelli e panche o un paio di botti in legno da utilizzare come piano d’appoggio. Per concludere l’arredo, consigliamo di dotare la tua enoteca privata di una credenza con i bicchieri: calici, flûte e coppe. Non dimenticare di dotare l’angolo degustazione di apribottiglie e decanter: in questo modo avrai tutto l’occorrente per organizzare una piacevole serata con i tuoi ospiti.
