Opera di impatto sostenibile ed ecologico prendendosi cura dunque dell'ambiente circostante. Si tratta di un bacino ornamentale e balneabile di acqua dolce integrato con l'ecosistema circostante e fitodepurato dalle piante stesse ( venendo quindi a meno del classico utilizzo dell'impianto di depurazione delle acque).
JRP Design & RemodelThis home had a kitchen that wasn’t meeting the family’s needs, nor did it fit with the coastal Mediterranean theme throughout the rest of the house. The goals for this remodel were to create more storage space and add natural light. The biggest item on the wish list was a larger kitchen island that could fit a family of four. They also wished for the backyard to transform from an unsightly mess that the clients rarely used to a beautiful oasis with function and style.
One design challenge was incorporating the client’s desire for a white kitchen with the warm tones of the travertine flooring. The rich walnut tone in the island cabinetry helped to tie in the tile flooring. This added contrast, warmth, and cohesiveness to the overall design and complemented the transitional coastal theme in the adjacent spaces. Rooms alight with sunshine, sheathed in soft, watery hues are indicative of coastal decorating. A few essential style elements will conjure the coastal look with its casual beach attitude and renewing seaside energy, even if the shoreline is only in your mind's eye.
By adding two new windows, all-white cabinets, and light quartzite countertops, the kitchen is now open and bright. Brass accents on the hood, cabinet hardware and pendant lighting added warmth to the design. Blue accent rugs and chairs complete the vision, complementing the subtle grey ceramic backsplash and coastal blues in the living and dining rooms. Finally, the added sliding doors lead to the best part of the home: the dreamy outdoor oasis!
Every day is a vacation in this Mediterranean-style backyard paradise. The outdoor living space emphasizes the natural beauty of the surrounding area while offering all of the advantages and comfort of indoor amenities.
The swimming pool received a significant makeover that turned this backyard space into one that the whole family will enjoy. JRP changed out the stones and tiles, bringing a new life to it. The overall look of the backyard went from hazardous to harmonious. After finishing the pool, a custom gazebo was built for the perfect spot to relax day or night.
It’s an entertainer’s dream to have a gorgeous pool and an outdoor kitchen. This kitchen includes stainless-steel appliances, a custom beverage fridge, and a wood-burning fireplace. Landwell Design + Build Co.An unsafe entry and desire for more outdoor living space motivated the homeowners of this Mediterranean style ocean view home to hire Landwell to complete a front and backyard design and renovation. A new Azek composite deck with access steps and cable railing replaced an uneven tile patio in the front courtyard, the driveway was updated, and in the backyard a new powder-coated steel pergola with louvered slats was built to cover a new bbq island, outdoor dining and lounge area, and new concrete slabs were poured leading to a cozy deck space with a gas fire pit and seating. Raised vegetable beds, site appropriate planting, low-voltage lighting and Palomino gravel finished off the outdoor spaces of this beautiful Shell Beach home.
Alitex GlasshousesHaving longed for an Alitex for years, our customer chose to treat herself as soon as retirement came. This time also involved renovations to the kitchen, extending into a dining area with beautiful French windows that allow light to pour in whilst drawing your eye to the end of the garden - where her new greenhouse is nestled.
Our customer chose an Olive Green Mottisfont, the perfect size to tuck into her petite garden and the ideal colour to blend into its surroundings. The greenhouse has been accessorised with a reservoir, loved by the youngest members of the family, a potting shoe which makes a world of difference from the days of potting up on the lawn, and plenty of shelving to maximise the use of space. Growing inside are lots of vegetables including tomatoes, aubergine, peppers and cucumbers.
The garden itself is filled with numerous plants and flowers, colours and scents. Inspired by a trip to India, the beds have been designed into a staggered cruciform shape around the border of the lawn. They outline the garden, drawing your eye up to the greenhouse.

Ground Roots Landscape DesignA newly renovated house in SE Portland needed a backyard to match. The owners wanted to take full advantage of the outdoor space. Expanding the patio, building a pergola with heaters and fireplace and adding a grill and pizza oven has made this garden a space that can be used year-round. The owners also have a small child so kid friendly plantings that are low maintenance was a must have. Inspired by the Mediterranean I used lavender, rosemary, varieties of ornamental grasses and an olive tree to create a beautiful garden space the whole family can enjoy. With a unique combonation of evergreens there will be texture and color even in the cold grey days of winter. Raised beds will allow them to grow their own fruits and veggies too!
